This training was conducted from November 20, 2012 to January 11, 2013 at RCBC Savings Bank Ortigas Extension Branch located at G/F Prudentialife Bldg, Ortigas Avenue Extension, Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Pasig City.
On-the-Job Training is an important requirement for us to graduate. Having a good training in different establishment would enhance our skills and abilities in our chosen specialization and interest.
Such factor is very significant to us students to be more effective in developing our talents, and moulding ourselves. By undergoing my training, I accomplished work such as following instructions, and performing my duties and responsibilities more diligently and embodying excellence of work. On-the-job Training is very importance to us students because it will help us to apply our knowledge that is being acquired in the school for our chosen field. It also develops our interpersonal relationship with employees in the office. Lastly, it is the way to broaden our mind and to work independently with guidance of our training coordinator and the immediate supervisor. A. Objectives of the Practicum/ Job Training
1. To expose the student in their chosen field.
2. To let the students apply their knowledge and to experience an actual work, and to develop their skills in modern environment. 3. To determine how much the students have learned in the school. B. Time and Place of the Practicum/ Job Training
The Practicum was performed from Monday through Friday from 8 o’clock in the morning to 12 o’clock noon and 1 to 5 o’clock in the afternoon from April 13, 2010 to May 14, 2010 at the office of the National Irrigation Administration, San Mateo, Isabela.
1. History of RCBC Savings Bank
RCBC Savings Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the country's top universal banks, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC). RCBC Savings Bank was incorporate on the 15th day of January 1996 to provide retail banking services to its target clientele and serve as the consumer and retail banking arm of RCBC. RCBC Savings Bank formally started its thrift banking operations on the 27th day of February 1996. It grew extensively in just over a year, from a lean one-branch organization with a seven-man skeletal force to an institution with a network of six branches supported by 106 full-time personnel in 1997. In September 1998, RCBC Savings Bank acquired selected assets and assumed deposit liabilities of Capitol Development Bank. Because of the strategic alliance, the Bank further widened the reach of its branch network and became the second largest thrift bank in the country with 117 branches.
