To get you started in the right frame of mind, you need to complete a simple exercise that helps you learn how to word criticism differently.
Choose something you dislike (broccoli, homework, cleaning, washing dishes, etc.) Then list all of the characteristics you dislike about this thing. Then change your comments to constructive criticism.
Example:
DON’T LIKE: Broccoli
CHARACTERISTICS YOU DISLIKE: Broccoli tastes bad.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: Broccoli tastes much better with cheese.”

If you heard this criticism, what should your response be in order to clarify the problem? what made you come to this conclusion
If you had given this criticism, how would you rephrase this criticism? this is not the job title for you
PART III-Now make it personal:
Make sure you read pages 125-126 in your book. This is the exercise on page 130.
Think of a situation in your life that could be improved if you were able to offer constructive criticism to a friend or family member. Describe the situation and name the improvement you seek: if i could talk to my childs mother about being civil she acts like a child if she had the mindset of a woman i could see my child
Now imagine that you have a chance to speak to this person. First describe the setting—time, place, atmosphere—where you think you would be most successful: both our parents, church, pastor , mid-day
Next develop your “script.” keeping in mind what you know about constructive criticism, analyze the situation and decide on what you think would be the best approach. Write what you would say. Keep in mind the goal you want your communication to achieve. everychild deserves a father and thats all im wanting from you
Finally, if you can, make your plan a reality. Will you do it? tried nothing
If you do have the conversation, note here: Was it worth it? n/a
Would you explain your outcome (not mandatory)?
