Hmas Warramunga i44‚ was one of three Tribal-class destroyers built for the RAN launched in 1942 during World War II. Hmas warramunga’s name comes from the Warumungu Aboriginal people from the Tennant Creek area. On 6 August 1950‚ HMAS Warramunga sailed to join United Nations forces involved in the Korean War.
