As above mention before, in this report we are describing the all stages of recruiting the food & beverage manager for Big Prawn Resort. Job Specification is a minimum requirement of skills, knowledge abilities and education to perform particular job. Recruitment is an essential part of replacing and growing the workforce, which can be a very time consuming & costly process. Wrong recruited employee can lead to a low productivity and can increase staff turnover.

Job specification helps the employer to shortlist the qualified person to fill the job.
Necessary experience, education and training, skills and knowledge and personal qualities are the key focus on employee specification. Before starting any piece of recruitment, firstly define person specification will assist in save both time and money. Food & beverage manager is a person who organize, plan and coordinate the workers and resources of the whole food & beverage department and the food & beverage manager are responsible for all food & beverage operation and making sure that customer are satisfied with quality of food and service. They require excellent sales and good communication, customer service skills, proven human resource management skills and leadership skills.

Here below is the Food & Beverage Manager Job Specification

Experience:
1) Minimum required 5 years experiences in a similar position in 5-star establishment.
2) Previous experience in Asia pacific would be extra advantage.
3) Proven management experience in both Western and Asian Style Restaurant is essential.

Education
1) Candidate must possess at least a bachelor degree in hotel management.
2) Courses in marketing, cost control, management, safe food handling, and wine & bar service training are necessary.
3) Management training is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:
1) Good interpersonal skills with excellent leadership and organizing abilities.
