3.0 PROBLEMS AND EFFECT OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE MANAGER, ANWAR PATEL AND HIS SUBORDINATE

Anwar Patel was the manager of the MATA SHOE COMPANY at Thana. First of all, as a manager he was overfriendly with his subordinate. As a result, he was experiencing loss of respect with the section heads under him.
Besides that he did not has a formal relationship with his subordinate. For instance, he had his lunch in the worker’s mess. During his lunch, he even smoked a beedi or two with them. On the other hand, he didn’t establish a formal relationship by applying the appropriate way of communication. In addition, he smoked and drank happily with them. He also exchanged a few smutty jokes and shared some stories with them.
According the flow of communication, he was ignoring the vertical communication between levels. This communication exists between a manager send messages downward to employees. However, he did behave in another way. In contrast, when the correct lines of communication are not used, the grapevine often results. Therefore, a vehicle for distortions of the truth, rumor and gossip will occurs. Apart from that, active grapevine can cause much damage to an organization by spreading completely, false or exaggerated information.
In addition, he told his subordinate about the story of his life and many spicy episode
