High Quality Education- when you are choosing an MLT program it’s critical that the program be accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency. Associate of Applied Science Degree – 103 credit hours; includes 93 credit hours of required MLT program course, 4 credit hours of writing and 6 credit hours of remaining general education courses. Consult a program advisor for help in planning General Education courses. Students must meet college graduation requirements including general education, math and English competencies. Career Options – You can work in clinical laboratory of a hospital, clinic, reference laboratory, blood bank, coroner’s office or a biomedical research What you need to learn about – prepare for a career in medical laboratory technology throught classroom study and supervised clinical experience. Learn about blood, analysis of body fluids, bacteriology, parasitology, clinical chemistry and other aspects of medical laboratory technology.

Research several community colleges that offer certificate and degree program that specialize in medical terminology. General info cont. – complete a certification exam upon graduation.
