Phylis Diller is an American comedian who devoted her entire life making people smile and she said that a smile is a curve that can straighten everything and I agree with her wholeheartedly.
What is a smile? A smile is God’s gift to mankind. Among all God’s creations on earth only man has the ability to smile. The Free Online Dictionary defines a smile as a facial expression characterized by an upward curving of the corners of the mouth that indicates pleasure or amusement. Most holy people of the world have a calm and serene smile. It was Buddha’s smile that calmed a rogue elephant and brought it to its knees. It was his peaceful smile that revealed to Angulimaal the turmoil within him and brought to light his need for moksha.
Have you had a fight with your friend? Do you want to make up with your friend?? Just SMILE. A smile is a powerful weapon – it can defuse a frown. It can turn back anger. You can even break ice with it.
According to Mother Teresa Peace begins with a smile. One of the greatest needs of today is peace – peace between neighbours, peace between family members. We need peace within the country and without the country. And a smile is the first step in this direction. One is never fully clothed if one does not wear a smile. Nobody notices that your clothes are old when you are wearing a smile. You don’t need a Beauty Parlour if you have a smile because every smile makes you a day younger. This is so because when a person smiles he or she uses muscles that lift the face. Hence a smile makes a person look younger.
Smile is the universal language of welcome. Are you in a new place where you don’t know the language ?? Just SMILE.A smile can transcend barriers of language and geography and reach out to touch the hearts of people.
Medical experts say that smiling is a great stress buster.
Smiling boosts your immune system. Smiling also reduces your blood pressure.
