Zombies-Personal Narrative
All my life I have imagined different crazy scenarios that would never occur, but sounded amazing in my head. From being a sword fighter in the older days, to traveling through space with a Wookie and a man. These various stories have always been something I’ve had an interest in creating in my head. Zombies, of course, has been one of them. The first and most important thing would be going for a weapon. Obviously, you don’t want something too loud, as it would alert the other zombies around, but you also don’t want something that would be time consuming to take out if there were multiple around. That’s where Michonne had the best choice in the Walking Dead, a samurai sword. Next, would be a metal canteen, as to be able to boil the water if needed. Next would be some sort of fire starter using flint to allow for very long use of it. The next item would be some sort of pack or bag so that incase of danger at any point I could grab that with all my items in it and get away as fast as possible. …show more content…
This also ties in with my last item which would be a car, all the stores around the world would still have gas in them ready for the taking, this would also help me in being able to search for more people in my hope to live and find a civilization in order to thrive in this new

George R. R. Martin’s short story about zombies does not focus on the zombie apocalypse as so many stories and movies do in today’s popular zombie culture. In what can only be assumed to be a far distant future, Martin’s zombies are surgically altered humans whose brains have been replaced by a synthetic alternative. This turns these formerly alive humans into form of cheap, or slave, labor that is exploited on planets where most humans are either unwilling, or unable to work (Martin, 2008). Martin’s zombies in this story harken back to the origins of the modern zombie mythos. Those being derived from the African slaves who toiled on the sugar plantations of Hatti (Estes, 2012). I do not think it is any coincidence that Martin’s zombies are…

Being able to arrange the type of weapon is based on the need. A rifle is a weapon primarily used for hunting food and can also be used as a defense weapon, when dealing with zombie people at a distance. Therefore, the use of a rifle would be the ideal weapon used for that particular situation. If there is no advance warning to an unknown visitor, then a shotgun would be the weapon to use. A shotgun is used for short distance. For example, it is used for bird hunting or the shooting of smaller animals. It could also be used with a zombie attach that is within close range. The ammunition for both the shotgun and rifle is lightweight, compact and could be easily carried in pockets or an ammo carry case. A bow and arrow is another essential weapon. It is equipped to be used for hunting or in self defense. There are many benefits when using a bow and arrow; arrows are reusable, quiet, lightweight and most importantly replacement arrows can be made out of timbers. The shotgun would be a drawback because of how close to a predator one would need to be, and a risk many wouldn’t want to face against a zombie. Also the finite amount of ammunition for the shotgun and rifle could lead to a misfortunate event, possibly…

The topic that I would like to address for my zombie project is a more efficient mode of transportation in order to survive a zombie apocalypse. In The Zombie Survival Guide, Max Brooks he explains different means of transportation but limits them to water or air travel. In an apocalypse, healthy surviving humans should not be restricted to their means of travel. In order to stay alive, an adequate form of transportation is a necessity. Walking is too dangerous and slow, while a standard car purposes many different problems. A solar powered or a hydrogen fuel cell car are optimum modes of transportation during a zombie apocalypse.…

First things first; get a weapon. If you can find a gun, GREAT. Just know this; knives don’t need ammo. If you get a gun, Take care of it. Don’t give it the wrong bullets, or your precious gun won’t last you very long. If you can’t find a gun, this part is for you. First, describe your strengths and weaknesses. Are you smart or stupid? Are you strong or weak? If you are stupid, blunt objects tend to work well. If you are weak, you might want to get something sharp to stab them with. Also if you find a sword, knife, machete, baseball bat (metal or wood is fine) anything that will not make so much noise that will work perfectly. And should only be used when there is a small amount of zombies just so you do not waste ammos quickly.…

Last week I spent time packing up boxes and moving things around the house. In the process, I started pulling things out of places where I had stashed them for safe keeping, forgetting that I even had these treasured items. While I was in this Spring cleaning frenzy, I opened a closet, no different from an attic or shed, and found an old forgotten box. When I finally managed to open it, a little disaster punched me right in my face, figuratively of course, but it got me thinking.…

As I was writing my personal narrative for my composition 1 class, it easily made my mind boggle. After I had got started on my personal narrative, it was easy for me to keep writing and keep following along the story line. The main strength of mine that the essay played to was my creativity and my flexibility for different writings, because I have never written an essay as serious and sad as this one, but I did have to add my happy ending when I finished the story. I wanted it to be very attention grabbing with a twist, but I also wanted it to be very emotional.…

Yet another Thanksgiving, and I was stuck in my uncle’s basement watching the Redskins face off the Dallas Cowboys. Michael Jordan, Serena Williams, and various other famous athletes all grinned at me from their respective Wheaties boxes, seemingly mocking my pain. My uncle collected them and, for some reason, had decided the bright orange boxes would be a great decorative addition to the basement wall behind the television. I remember once, when I was younger, I was searching for a movie to watch and I accidentally brushed against a limited edition Michael Jordan box. The box began to teeter, and I immediately knew that I was doomed. All the boxes began to fall like dominos to the floor. My uncle, needless to say, was furious. Thus, it was seemingly fitting that the offended boxes, now realigned on the wall, would have the privilege to witness my torture by football.…
