Women In Science Camp

I can recall three pivotal moments in my education paths in science and engineering. The foremost occurred in sixth grade when I was selected out of 130 females in my grade to attend the Women in Science camp. Here I learned about the many professions scientist can engage in, from forensics to astronomy. At this camp, I made it a goal to be a “woman in science.” At the time, I did not know specifically what type of science I wanted to become an expert in, but I narrowed it down with another major experience two summers ago at a camp referred to as the South Central Health Careers Camp.
