Why Sanctification Happens As His Mysteries Are Revealed?

God created us with great diversity so that we would be able to enjoy relationships by honoring one another in godly unity. He created us to be sexual beings in order to enhance that diversity and that we might better understand who God is and what He is like. Satan has set out to destroy that which God intended for our good, that is, our relationships, our diversity and our sexuality. Two Thessalonians 2:7 speak of the “mystery of lawlessness”. Lawlessness is the premise by which Satan has reigned on this earth. By lawlessness, and in the absence of the relationship-strengthening traits of honor and righteousness, our relationships have been destroyed. And much of this destruction happens via the misconceptions surrounding our sexuality.
Why
Sanctification is a process of change in our lives. Because of our belief in Jesus and His power for change in our lives, we may choose to walk by the leading of His Spirit. When we choose faith in God in this way, He begins His sanctifying work in our lives. He leads us in this sanctifying process as we work through the situations and relationships of our lives according to God’s plan.

Working through this process of sanctification is not easy. Generally speaking relationships are challenging. But especially as it applies to our sexual relationship this process of sanctification can be excruciating in its difficulty.
