Why Is It Important To Build Resilience?
Resilience is often talked about as that ability to bounce back when things don't quite go to plan. To build resilience: Firstly, have a positive mind-set that allows you to take a positive view on the world and yourself. Secondly, be committed to both your actions and your goals. Finally, develop a sense of personal control. This is when you know where you can control your life and when you know and accept the elements of life that you cannot control. In achieving these pay attention to both the positive and the not so positive messages that you give yourself every day. And we all do it. If you can catch yourself in a place of negative assumption, switch. The art is catching yourself in the first place, and it's not easy. Someone once told me don’t believe everything you think, we can often be our own worst enemy! …show more content…
Because relationships are key in supporting you and building resilience. The more attention you can give to your well-being, the better. Paying attention to your mind and body in terms of taking care of it is utterly fundamental. The best laid plans can go wrong, and can come off course. Be flexible and adjust your plans
