Why Go To Arizona State University Essay

I could go anywhere for college! I could have gone to the University of Arizona, or UC Irvine, or even New York University, but no I chose to go to Arizona State University because I want to stay near you mom! I picked to go to Arizona State University because it’s known for engineering, and I have decided to major in Chemical Engineering and minor in business. During my time at ASU, I will be living in the dorms and renting out apartments, and paying for my fees through scholarships and my college fund. I am also able to get in-state tuition, but most importantly I chose ASU because I’ll be able to stay close to my mom. While I could have gone to any college, I am choosing to go to ASU because there are many benefits for me and going to ASU
Not only will I be able to get a scholarship, $9,000, but I also get instate tuition because I live in Arizona. Therefore instead of paying an extra $10,000 for tuition, I will only have to pay about $11,278. With the extra money I save I can put it towards bills and my savings for graduate school. Having this extra money will allow me to starting paying my own bills and tuition, and will give me a sense of being an adult. I will also be able to find a job easily; there are multiple cities in Arizona. If I cannot find one in Tempe, I can always look in Phoenix or Chandler or Scottsdale. If I were to go to another college, for instant the University of Arizona, I would have a very slim chance of finding an internship because it is not very populated outside of the university and the competition to find job would increase significantly. Then in cases of emergency I can be home within in twenty minutes, unlike my sister, Tiffany. If there was an emergency it would take Tiffany at least two hours to drive home from U of A. This means I will be able to make home in time for parties, events, and emergencies. It will also allow me to visit you more often. Instead of just seeing me on holidays or vacations, I can come home more
