Why I am going to college There are many reasons why I decided to go to college at this point in my life. I want to make my whole family proud of me, and become a better role model for my daughter. I also want to get a better and more stable job for the future, and further my education to improve my own personal well-being. I feel the most important reasons for me to go to college is making my whole family proud of me and becoming a better role model for my daughter. After I graduated high school I made the decision to not go to college, and get straight to working. My family was disappointed that I made that decision. I went to work for my family’s business and thought that I would have a good and stable career for life. I know that once I get my degree that I will make them proud. My daughter is now 6 months old and hopefully she will realize it is easier to attend college earlier in life. Almost 12 years after I decided to not go to college and work for my family’s business, it ended up closing because of the all the ups and downs of the economy. I found myself without a job and collecting unemployment. I quickly realized the struggles with trying to find a good job without a college education. Since my family’s business closed I have had 2 different jobs in a 6 month timespan. I finally realized that I need to go to college and get my degree.
