Personal Statement: I Want To Go To College
I want to go to college because my uncle Jason said that it will open up more opportunities for yourself. My opinion on college is to go because you can get a great education, better pay at the job you work and more opportunities that lie ahead.
My uncle Jason works construction and he makes great pay because he went to college for the electrical program. He’s encouraging me to go to college because it opens a lot of opportunities like making your own business and working at a high paying job. He can do any of these because he went to college so, he has the smarts on knowing what to do and to get him through life. In 2016 the average income for a 25 year old and older with a H.S diploma was $35,615, while the income for those with a bachelor's degree was 65,482. …show more content…
College graduates have a higher yearly income and greater lifetime earnings. In 2005, the average income for a bachelor's degree holder was $54,689 versus an income of $19,915 for a high school graduate.
