Because it seems all the people in the world have agreed to use English to talk to each other. If you can communicate in English, you can contact people from all over the world, travel more easily and so on. After that, knowing English will let you put “excellent knowledge of English” on your CV, gain technical knowledge, learn computer science, be a world-class businessman, become a better scientist, use your computer more effectively and learn new skills for your job. Then, English is not only useful, it also can gives you a lot of satisfaction like making progress feels great and will enjoy learning English. More English majors have gone to work in a variety of fields, such as business, communications, management training programs, education, advertising, law and social services.
