Why do people support space exploration. Man has to look to the stars, to find new resources that he needs to build new society's on other Worlds. The expansion of the human race is paramount for man's survival.
Why do people support the exploration of space. First, we need to go over a little bit of history of space exploration. After World War 2 the Soviet Union launched the first artificial satellite Sputnik into space. The earth has a limited amount of resources. Our planet was born with a fixed amount of water, hydrocarbons, nitrogen and industrial and precious metals. We are using our planets resources at an alarming rate. For now only protecting and better resource management safeguards our planet's remaining resources. With the exploration of space new opportunities arise to gather new resources from other worlds and celestial bodies. Asteroids in particular can be highly profitable with their high concentrations of Industrial and precious metals. Scientists estimate relatively small asteroids could contain more than 20 trillion dollars worth of industrial and precious metals. While space mining is still in its infancy. The most important resource involved with space exploration is water. Not only water be used to keep us alive, the hydrogen extracted from water can be used for fuel power spaceships on long journeys from one planet to another. Being able to mine resources in space will help create space based communities and platforms which would jump start the exploration of our solar system and deep space. Once mankind, has established himself in the stars. We will establish new communities on other worlds. People will migrate to these new worlds, we will call them Colonist. Humans Build societies. We take our beliefs and culture with us wherever we go. Our goals to travel to the stars and search of enlightenment is another challenge for man. We see what is unattainable only as a stepping stone towards greatness. With technology and the desire to conquer the once unattainable goals this is our strength that gives us
