Many other deaths happen and it starts to occur to Mara that maybe she is the center of all the deaths, and maybe her friends death was her fault. She meets a boy named Noah Shaw. He has a secret of his own, and it might be able to help her control her special ability, but she has to make the right choice with it. The Tamerlane State Lunatic Asylum collapses, and 3 girls die, but Mara survives. She is the only survivor of the accident. She imagines the death of the cruel owner of a dead dog, and he died just as she imagined. Another death happens, and her Spanish teacher died just the way she imagined. She decides to go to a Santeria priest who helps her remember what happened the night of her friends death. She was the cause of her death. Noah tells her that he has an ability to heal, which he thinks could help her ability to kill. While all of this is happening, Mara’s brother, Joseph, is kidnapped. The author used such good details that I could not put the book down. I also really liked the story line of this book. It was very mysterious and made me want to keep reading. I think she did a good job of portraying the characters. I also really liked how it was fictional, and a situation that would not normally happen. It was very unusual which kept me reading. I would rate this book a 10 out of 10. It was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I would love to read more from this author. I love the way she writes. She keeps me interested and eager to keep

My critique of this book is that it was a great book. The parts that I liked about this book was how unlike most books it didn’t tell you the conflict until the ending of the book. At the end, I also liked how it told you what the next book was going to be about. The only thing I did not like about the book was that you could predict what was going to happen in the story.…

I loved this book! It was very interesting to me. It was definitely a book that I couldn't put down. When she told about her experiences about making new friends and also losing her family I found this very interesting and heartbreaking to know the pain she must have been going through. A weak point in this book was when Hannelore couldn't find…

I give this book about a 8 out of 10. I give it an 8 because I feel like it is to detailed in some parts. Also, The book gets longer and longer it feels like towards the end. There is a lot a excitement in the beginning but to be honest I lost interest towards the end of the book. Overall I liked this book more than most books I have read, But it was definitely not my…

I liked this book. I really admired Brigitte’s character. The fact that she was able to leave her fancy lifestyle, family, and extensive opportunities available to her in France, to take care of her ex-husband’s little girl that she had never met before, in a dirty little desert town out in the middle of nowhere, is truly amazing to me. Her character definitely grew throughout this book. I believe she went from being a young woman not knowing what she was getting into, to being a mature loving mother to a ten yr. old little girl who needed her very much.…

I rate this book a perfect 10 because of the amount of interest I had while reading it. It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

I like how its really intense and calming and also some parts funny. I like how it talks about teen pregnancy because some young teens will want to get pregnant at such a young age and if they read this book it may help them change their mind and wait till they get older, thats very important to me. I really like the chapter where Bobby was talking about the wall when he was trying to get everything back in place and try to see who he really was, i thought that part was really good. I like how it goes back and fourth for the chapters like then and now, it makes you want to read more because in one chapter it tells you really good information and you just want to read even more till the…

I think this book was one of the best books I have read. It’s funny, has action, and is serious at moments. It was written really well and kept me entertained the whole time reading it. The only thing I would change is at the end of the book it ends to fast and doesn’t really explain everything I was thinking of. Other than that it was an awesome book.…

I thought the writer had a really good flow of style and expressed herself really well, especially with the storyline. It was a great story overall, the writer was very graphic with her words and it kind of made me feel like I was there re-living that moment with her. Her style was cool and she built up the story with conflict. The suspense was awesome because she made it feel like it was going to be good from the start to the end, but then I felt the tension when things became dark and muggy. The argumentation was written well and the story ended on a good note. The writer wrote for her people and you could literally…

What I liked/disliked about the book: I have to say, I really did enjoy the book and there were times I had trouble putting it down. I'm not normally a big fan of young adult book, but this is one that was well done, with a very interesting plot. I was happy to see something that wasn't vampires for once too - I like vampires, but it's starting to become a little boring, so it was refreshing to see this lean to a completely different topic.…

The thing I liked best that it is written with passion and skill and it shows in constantly plot changing or infusion of amazing descriptive language and above all this novel takes you visually to the places in the book because of its perfect descriptions. In fact this book is very compelling as all the facts of the murders are taken from real cases. My only criticism of the novel is that you can not read it before you go to bed, because you can't stop reading, when you get into it.…
