What Is The Relationship In The Titan's Curse
Long Write - The Titan’s Curse
Priyanka Balla

For this long write I decided to write about how relationships in the story affect the characters and the plots. The two relationship I will look at are Percy and Annabeth and Percy and Grover.
The first relationship and the relationship that the author really focuses on in the relationship between Percy and Annabeth. In the Titan’s Curse the beginning of the series the plots have changed or depended on the relationships. In the Titan's Curse the journey or quest is alter because Annabeth was taken and Percy wanted to get her back. I think that Percy became invisible and risked getting in trouble with Thalia just to make sure they would get Annabeth back. I think in future books that Annabeth and Percy will do anything or each other because they both love each other even if they don’t know yet.
I think that the journey or quest of the book was altered because of the relationship between Annabeth and Percy. I think that this relationship between the two of them has also affected both of them. In the Titan’s Curse after Annabeth was taken by the Titan’s

“You have to let us save her!” The auburn-haired girl turned toward me. “I’m sorry Percy Jackson, but your friend is beyond help.” I tried to struggle to my feet, but a couple of the girls held me down. “You are in no condition to be hurling yourself of cliffs,” the auburn haired girl said. “Let me go” I demanded “Who do you think you are?” (The Titan’s Curse) This ties into the fact that they both love each other but they haven't realized it yet. One thing I noticed is that Luke is part of their relationship that they don’t communicate well on because Luke who is an evil titan is like a brother to Annabeth it stops Percy from actually talking and getting answers about Luke. I think that in the final book Annabeth’s relationship with Luke will play a part in the end of the war between the Titans and the

Percy is not just like Perseus because their names sound alike. They are alike in other ways as well. Like Perseus, Percy was saved because he had a god watching over him. In “ The Great Heroes Before the Trojan War” it says, “ But Perseus was saved from his folly. Two great gods were watching over him.”(Hamilton 145). This same thing happened to Percy when he was battling Anabeth. She had beaten him up pretty badly and Percy had lay there…

In “The Loss of the Creature,” Percy focuses on how one perceives something before actually witnessing it based on the opinions of others. The value of the place or idea is already preconceived due to the fact that we are so caught up in time that we overlook the entire experience as a whole. Or being that we are so focused on the option on an object from someone else, we miss the whole concept or what it’s true meaning or “beauty” as Percy state’s is. We lose the ability to make our own decisions because we base them off of someone else’s viewpoints. Using an example of a movie that I experienced shows Percy’s point.…

I went to bed that night but couldn’t sleep with the thought in the back of my mind that my son could grow up to be sold down the river. I knew what I had to do. It was one of the hardest choices I had to make, there was no other option.…

Tyron, the new main character appeared in this chapter. He was Percy’s big ugly stupid friend but funny and lovely. Tyron was usually bullied by Matt Sloan, who had characters like a Pitbull dog. In the second chapter, the story was about playing dodgeball with the monster. The Illustrations were very vivid. I imagined that it occurred in my high school gym because of the writer’s description. I felt like I was in that situation again.…
