Lightning Thief Archetype
In The Lightning Thief and Twilight, different experiences occur within both main characters Bella Swan and Percy Jackson. Both characters follow a path that will guide them into a new world. Bella and Percy are new to almost everything they discover within their new journey with the help of some close friends. Though from different mythologies, Twilight and The Lightning Thief share an archetypal pattern that requires a mentor’s guidance; as the protagonist becomes aware of a previously unknown parallel world, a mentor surfaces to escort along the path of knowledge and survival.

After realizing that Edward will not hurt her, she finds comfort in him. Jacob tries to still warn Bella that she needs to be careful because Edward may not be like that, but it does not mean that the others won’t be.
While in the Lightning Thief, After figuring out that he his a demigod and that his father is Poseidon, he decides that he is going to go all over Los Angeles with his best friends Grover and Annabeth and try to find more people like him to get some insight and really understand how and why he is half mortal and half god. This is when the survival stage comes in for Percy. Both of his friends are there to help him understand that he has the powers not most of these creatures do and he needs to be careful as to who he uses these powers on. Everyone is great in their own way, even those who may not realize it or appreciate it. In the end, your worth will show in some way. In the book, The Lightning Thief, I thought I that it was about a boy named Percy who has dyslexia and ADHD that always gets into trouble. Then, Percy learns that his dad is the sea god Poseidon. Afterwards, Percy finds out that Zeus has accused him of stealing his lightning bolt. Now, Percy must go on a quest with his new friends to find Zeus's lightning bolt so that there isn't another world war. He also wants to save his mom who has been taken to the Underworld. Now, I think Rick Riordan is trying to teach us that everyone has great worth, even those who feel different and unappreciated.…

Percy – Percy provides the novel with the perfect parallel to Dunstan. He does, however, contrast in many ways to Dunstan. They are best friends, but Percy rivalry results in the formation of the main setting of the novel. Percy also feels more of an attachment to material goods than Dunstan does. He thinks only of himself and is in constant pursuit of total and utter control. Percy was low moral standards in comparison to Dunstan and in some ways, feels he is of a higher stature than other human beings. I don’t know what you understand about Twilight - the film – but here’s what I got out of the film. The guy goes, ‘Hey, I’m a blood thirsty vampire who can suck the life out of people…oh… and I might kill you if we start dating’. Then she goes, ‘OK’.
