What Is Reality In Real Life Essay
Robert H. Goddard said, “It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow”. When we are in pre-school, we are asked what we want to be when we grow up. Our answers were things like an astronaut, doctor, veterinarian, and a rock star. These people were heroes to us, and they were what we dreamed to become. We dreamed of helping others, and we dreamed that we could be anything that we wanted to be. We were creative and imaginative, so we let our dreams run wild and free. No one told us that we could not be what we wanted; instead we were encouraged to chase those crazy dreams and let nothing get in our paths. Today, it is the complete polar opposite. Now when we are asked what …show more content…
When we are faced with reality, we are left with nothing to look forward to, but only the consequences of our actions. To elaborate, when we live in reality, we become pessimistic. Having a pessimistic outlook on life you expect bad outcomes, are unhappy, and unhopeful about what is happening. Imagine yourself in the cage again, except this time the door it shut and locked. You fear you are never going to get out and you begin to think about all of the what-ifs in your life. If you let this fear consume and swallow you whole, then you will have nothing in life to live for. Finally, reality can leave us feeling lost and searching for what we want out life.
As I have already stated before, goals help us accomplish our dreams. That is the beautiful thing about dreams is that you have the opportunity to become someone, something, or do something better than what you are currently doing. By having goals in life, you can have your dream within the grasp of your hand by trying to improve yourself to become better. Be careful not get your dreams confused with desire. Desire is often associated with the feelings of greed and a constant need to want more, but dreams and goals do not need to hold monetary

Former successful Olympian, Gail Devers, once said “Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication” (Gail Devers, Brainy Quotes). Dever’s words resonate as she inspires those who usually let obstacles keep them from chasing their dreams. As children with an overactive imagination, nothing seems out of reach. Somehow, as we grow older, we begin to notice our strengths and weaknesses and we end up letting go of our old dreams and moving on. Growing up, I fanaticized over what I would do as an adult. Those fantasies ranged from a world-famous pop star to President of the United States. Through all those times of make-believe speeches and singing into a hairbrush, one of my…

A dream is impossible to accomplish when there is no plan in place to achieve them. Setting goals can be beneficial in getting one step closer to achieving dreams and aspirations. For example, it’s like watching a flower grow. When you grow a flower you need the container to put the flower in. Prepare and sterilize the container. Next add the soil in and then plant the seed. Water the plant, make sure the plant gets as much sunlight needed for it to survive. Slowly but surely with the proper plan and care your flower starts to bloom. Goal setting is the container, it’s the base to what you want to achieve in life. Sterilize your container, is just like writing down those dreams. Place the soil in, add water to your ideas, and actually take the time to bring sunlight and action in accomplishing your dreams. Students should create goals because; making progress in something helps motivate yourself in believing that you can achieve your dreams. Otherwise your dreams and aspirations are nothing more than vague ideas moving around in your…

Denzel Washington had once said “Dreams without goals remain dreams and fuel disappointment….Goals cannot be achieved without discipline and consistency.” Dreams are hopes and wishes that set no goals, but can be something you want instead of something you might need. Dreams with no goals just bring dissatisfaction because there are no steps or directions. In life circumstances, I believe that you have to work hard for what you earn because people who worked hard have had tough stages in life that put them through obstacles that was a struggle for them, but they remain optimistic because they knew prosper was going to come along towards the road of achievements. Positive thinking isn’t all that cracked up to be, it can distract us from time, including reality on steps and directions onto the road of achievements, but if you want to succeed you can’t give up or let barriers get in the way of your goals to achieve in life. You have to make sure that your goals are precise and manageable and that you overthink your positive outcomes along with the barriers aspects that might get in the way of achieving your goals.…

Aspirations. We all have them, yet they are different for every one of us. For some, their goals might include wealth and social status, while others may focus on goals based on family. Although most people share similar ideas of what they want their life to be, the specific details in our goals are what separate us from the rest of the world. No achievement is necessarily better than the other, and nobody can make a universal decision on which dream is more important than another. It is up to the individual to create their goals, just like it is up to that same individual to achieve them. Dreams are what we spend our entire lives striving to achieve, they are the driving force that keep us motivated, and without them there would be no sense of productivity, which leads to the demise of a person’s character.…

A blurred sense of reality is known as an illusion and this can have detrimental effects on many aspects of one’s life. Reality can be defined as the state or fact of being real, but as humans we have the capacity to perceive or interpret our own realities in many different ways. Some of the ways a blurred sense of reality can have negative effects on a person’s day to day life are that they can become so involved in their online persona that they call other people by their online names, lack of motivation for their real job, among other things. This was the case in Colorado, America where a 34 year old man was fired from his job…

I believe that humanity is so interested in reality because we are naturally curious. They say curiosity killed the cat and I believe that saying is very true. We as humans always want our questions answered be it a simple question like two plus two or a complex question like what is reality with no real answer yet. This curiosity is just part of our nature and it can lead to obsessions. Some people are so obsessed with finding the answer to questions that they devote their whole life to it and this obsession consumes them. Even if we found the answer to reality, how much would it change our everyday lives? The question that we so longed for the answer to wouldn’t even make a mark on how we live our lives and the person who found this answer would have committed his entire life to find this now insignificant answer. I’m not saying that I’m not curious about the answer because I am but I know that this curiosity is much more dangerous than the answer is worth.…
