What Is Beowulf As An Epic Hero
An epic hero is a courageous and noble character in an epic poem, one usually possesses some type of supernatural aid. Beowulf is a Geatish hero who is very strong and fearless. Hrothgar, the King of Danes, needed his help after his mead hall was attacked by Grendel. Grendel is a merciless demon who preys on Hrothgar's warriors, but Beowulf is willing to put himself in danger to fit him. He accepts the challenge fighting him due to an honor his father pledged to Hrothgar after a settled feud. No one would ever be as daring as Beowulf to take on such a ruthless demon.
