Again, with exercise as well as diet, everyone is going to want you to go with their way of doing things. But exercise is a different thing, because everyone’s different so every work out effects people differently. There’s many different opinions on the matter, and some methods that work for most people, but in the end, you have to find what method works best for you. A lot of people think the best way to lose weight and get fit the quickest is to just do lots of cardio. But, it’s actually the opposite. The number one thing to lose weight is of course diet, but after that, it’s weightlifting. When it comes to weight training, it is important to remember a few key points. First, you will not get big from lifting weights. You get “big” from overeating, too many calories, which can be converted into fat or muscle based on the types of foods you eat and the exercise you do. Second, you can lift more than you think and you should (with the help of a spotter, if necessary). After you try a new workout, or heavier weights, you’re more likely to be sore. This is called delayed onset muscle soreness, or DOMS, and it is a normal response to weight training.
