In the base of stopper are 3 slots. You need to rotate each slot to line up with a switch plunger for each mode of action. The switch plunger is inside the disposal neck.
The 3 mode are as follows:
1. Activation of the unit
Position the small slot with the switch plunger and push down firmly to run the disposer. To turn it off, lift up the stopper.
2. To allow water to drain
Position the medium slot with the switch plunger for water to flow through. This mode prevents large objects such as utensils from accidentally dropping into the disposal.
3. To fill sink or close the drain
Position the large slot with the switch plunger and push it down to close the drain.

Warranty for this product is 10 years. It’s a pretty good offer if you compare with other disposals. Furthermore, it includes in-home service whereby the company technician comes to your house to repair or replaced the faulty unit free of charge.
