Video Game Creating Research Paper
Video Game Creating, a technical job that specializes in creating video games, is a career I wish to pursue for animating, illustrating, and gaming. I have wanted to be in this career since I was around 9 or 10 years old. What interested me was when I was used to playing games with a set-map. A set-map is a map where the character can only go two ways, forward or backwards. I played a free-map game, a game where the player chooses the quest and/or path/place they want to go, and I was curious as to how the map was created. Upon wanting to figure that out, I realized that it will be hard to find a job in this field because more people are interested and that means less jobs. I want the job/ a job because I love video games and I want to create some for others to enjoy. …show more content…
It is mostly inside (or indoors) and a team operated industry. The jobs can range from artists to effects programmers. The artist draws or creates the characters, maps, and scenes, whereas effect programmers add sound effects like storms, explosions, and visual effects like gore, and how some things move and/or look. There are many more occupations in the Video Game Creating industry too. Most involve people working together to piece things in the game together. There are some attractive features for Video Game Creators, too. If someone loves technology and computers, then that is an attractive feature. Most video game creators find the animations an attractive feature. Animating, creating, puzzling together, and testing games are also some attractive features for some people. Video Game Creating is also one of the very few businesses or industries that require group work on a major project. There are many attractive features, they are just different opinions from people about what is and what is not included in the attractive features

Much research has been done on the negative effects of video games on individuals and society, but not as much research has been completed on the positive effects they have.
