Veterinary Technician Speech
Career Speech Brushing a cat’s teeth are equally as important as brushing your own. Brushing your own cat’s teeth may bee too much work though, but don’t worry, a vet tech will do it for you. This is just one of many responsibilities of a veterinary technician. A vet tech may also prep animals for surgery, communicate with pet owners, assist a vet in surgery, and much more. This job was selected for me because of my love for animals. I also love to learn new technical skills, work with equipment, provide information, cope with unpleasant situations, and staying organized. I am not interested in being a veterinary technician because of its ever changing work schedule, insane hours, and very low pay.

A volunteer obviously makes no money but they do get a lot of experience. To volunteer at a pet clinic, you must at least have a high school diploma and be studying for the post-secondary qualification in veterinarian technology. A part time worker has similar requirements, but they work a little bit more and get paid minimum wage. A part-time worker will have to communicate with owners, assist vet techs, schedule appointments. The next level in this career path is a veterinary technician. At this level, the average money made per year is $30,000. This is way below the average pay of an American which is $50,000 per year. This job requires a certificate of completion of the Veterinary Technician Program. Vet techs also must have a certification from their state and on the job experience. Veterinary technicians help the vets during surgery, take x-rays, prescribe medicine, and communicate with pet owners. The highest promotion of this job is a surgical nurse or a supervisor. Workers in this position get paid between $30,000 and $55,000 per year. This position requires you to have been a vet tech for several years. Some of the responsibilities of this job are doing blood work, assisting vets, taking x-rays, talking to pet owners, prescribing medicine, supervising the vet techs, and billing
