Career Goals Everyone has something that they aspire to accomplish in their future, however, what distinguishes a dream from a goal, is the effort you put forth to accomplish that goal. Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed to become a veterinarian. I have had some previous experience in this field, including, being responsible for the wellbeing of my animals,by feeding, bathing, and giving them their daily meds. When my dog had her puppies, I helped deliver them, as well as, nurse her back to health when an emergency C-section had to be done.To pursue this career, I am aware of the extensive schooling that must be done to accomplish this goal. There is a minimum of eight years of schooling to become a Doctor in this field, and I …show more content…
I plan to take college courses during the remainder of my high school years to get a jump start on those generals courses. Upon completion, I would attend a university to get a Veterinary degree. Plan A for me would be to attend CSU through all of college and hopefully get a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or DVM ,in a minimum of 8 years. An option I have been looking into, would be to join the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. This would be an amazing opportunity to serve my country doing the things I love. The Veterinary Corps also poses another option. There is an opportunity where you can join the Army and take veterinary classes at the same time. My options are still open as to what I will do after high school. However, it is clear, that upon completion of high school, I want to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. My love for animals has been greatly encouraged by both my friends and family. While in high school, I hope to earn I part time job helping out animals in a clinic or pet shop. I greatly enjoy the job of pet ownership, and I love providing the care needed for my animals. This scholarship would greatly benefit me and my family, because we can't afford to pay for the entire extent of college’s

My love for animals has always been the one constant thing in my life. I have always had pets and could not imagine what life would be like without them. Working with animals is something I know I will always be passionate about. There is a saying that I now go by, "Do something you love and you will never work a day of your life.”…

First, a career in veterinary technologist and technician would bring me great personal satisfaction. I enjoy working, helping out, and simply being around animals. For example, Julie Legred, a veterinary technician and executive director at the National Association of veterinary technicians in America, says, “We do everything except diagnose, prescribe and do surgery. They often work in private clinics and animal hospitals, assisting veterinarians with the care of animals” ("Veterinary Technologist and Technician").
