My Dream 1. Becoming a veterinarian requires years of study, countless years learning, and large amounts of money to pay for school tuition and state licensing.The veterinary field interest me in any ways. In this field there are many benefits, and some flaws. Veterinarians have the ability to save animals everyday. They also have to have communication skills, allow them to talk to the the owners (OK Career Guide.org). The veterinary field is also very diverse. Veterinarians have a part in all different kinds of animals lives. Vets often have to stay up all night caring for a sick animal. You will do a lot of lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling. You could be exposed to many different diseases and infections, exposed to radiation more than once a month. Work in this occupation involves use of protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, a hard hat, or personal flotation devices(OK Career Guide.org). If you are not cautious all the time it could result in you being hurt or others around you are not safe. The tasks of a veterinarian consist of examining animals to determine the nature of diseases or injuries. Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, performing surgery, Collect body tissue, feces, blood, urine, or other fluids for examination and vaccinate animals against various diseases such as rabies or distemper or talk to clients about the deaths of their pets or about euthanasia decisions for their animal. I want to be a Large Animal Veterinarian. My lifestyle and experiences have helped me choose this career. I find it interesting that being a Large Animal's Veterinarian is diverse as well. I plan to come back to my hometown and take up the business of raising barrel horses along with being a Large Animal Veterinarian. Living in a rural area would leave me with plenty of job opportunities and already having established a relationship with people in my community. Veterinarian profession has many interesting things to it. To prosper you have to be hard working.. The career is also sought out after by many aspiring students and children. I want to have this profession as my career, because it would let me have the ability to live my dreams as I have already been doing in my life as a
