Stock Market Challenge
I selected the stock market challenge assignment because it was an assignment that I received a good mark on. It wasn’t too difficult for me to complete because I was familiar with a lot of the concepts of Excel such as making charts. However, some parts of this assignment were difficult. One of the toughest things was choosing which stocks were the best to invest in and it required me to think very carefully before choosing. Since I had some previous knowledge about stocks, I was able to invest in the right stocks and by the end of the week I had made money instead of losing a vast amount. I demonstrated basic skills of Excel such as using graphs, formulas and icons that helped me complete this assignment.

I had trouble with numerous things, but was able to complete the assignment on time and still receive a high grade. Firstly, I had difficulty with planning out the type of food I was going to serve at my restaurant and what to write under each item that would be pleasing to the diners. Secondly, when I added the border and background to my menu, I had a little trouble because the border would get out of order or the pictures on my menu would not be where I want them to be. Fortunately, in the end, I resolved those issues. Lastly, I had an issue with making my letter one page because I kept writing too much, but in the end I was able to shorten it. I learned a few things from this assignment such as using tabs and dot leaders. Also, I learned how to use headers and footers and shapes to create borders. For next time, I can improve this assignment by making sure that everything is properly aligned. I will continue to use this software in the future at school during business class to complete different projects that require the use of tabs and dot leaders and headers and footers. This software is helpful in the future in the sense that I want to open a restaurant or for any other business related

During my coursework I will be inventing an Ict system for Mr Robert black as he has approached me to help his new catering company ‘mobile lunches 4u’. There are a few business parks around the local area where Mr Black has decided that there are opportunities for a mobile catering business, selling snacks and drinks at lunchtimes to people who work at offices in the business parks. Mr Black has been running this business for about 6 months but has had trouble keeping records of his income and expenditure. This problem has occurred because since Mr Black has started is business he wrote everything by hand, he has faced problems like he was unable to read his writing due to messy writing and this caused most data to be read wrong which meant that all the calculation were wrong. This problem is a most common problem faced by company that do everything by hand and do not use an Ict system. For this reason I decided to help Mr Black by creating an Ict system for his company mobile lunches 4u. Moreover, this Ict system will be beneficial for Mr Black because he won’t have to worry about anything being misread or any wrong calculation, this mean he will be more organised and accurate. However, this is also constructive for his company because this will allow his company to become more professional and modern. This can be an advantage because most people like to eat and go to professional places which mean more costumers that can lead to more profit.…

    Stock Market Project

We worked together on their finance stock market project. We felt that our risk tolerance was different then it normally would be sense we had 500,000 to invest in the stock market compared to our own money. Due to the fact that this was fake money we found ourselves to be conservative as well as risky depending on the situation. We have been given three months to invest money in the stock market as well as with different types of investments such as shorting, limiting, etc and to come out with a positive return. Our strategy was to be in the top tier percentage in the class. We wanted to find stocks that would be unique and not as commonly owned compared to other students in the class. We focused our initial investments on ETF’s as we liked the idea of investing in a group of stocks instead of just one main stock. We also made sure that we had been diversified by investing in as many different sectors of the market as possible.…

Coming into this project, I was not really sure how the stock market worked. When I first invested into stocks, I did not know the philosophy of “buy low and sell high.” I thought the complete opposite, so when I bought shares of particular stocks, I bought them when they were high. So I basically started out my project with a big failure. As I was choosing which stocks to invest in, I looked at their six month history on a chart.…
