I would like to thank my mentor and project guide Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, ( Product Merchandiser, Arrow Formals) Arvind Brands Limited, Bangalore, for giving me the proper guidance, direction and constant support during the project that gave me enough exposure to learn the functioning of a Merchandiser. I also hereby take this opportunity to thank Mr. Punit Chauhan (Product Manager, Arrow) for providing me an opportunity to do this project with the brand and for providing his extraordinary, consistent and highly enriching guidance, Ms. Abhilasha (Designer, Arrow formals) & Ms. Sayeeda Begum (Merchandiser, Arrow Classics and Premium), for providing inputs during the project which helped me in various stages of project. PREFACE

My Internship started on 25th May, 2009 in ARVIND BRANDS LIMITED, Bangalore. I was assigned a project on “Men’s trousers and their Fits”. My mentor, heading the Arrow formals helped me to learn the basics that I needed to have before starting the project and hence I was asked to learn as much as we can about the competitors of the brand Arrow. Since I was doing my project on trousers, I got to learn that major competitors of Arrow trousers were Blackberry, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen and Allen Solly. So I started accumulating data of the competitors as much as i can. Also I used to visit Arrow Stores to get to know what the customers are expecting and to learn if any problem exists with the trousers. I got this opportunity during the end of season sale of Arrow.
