Tropicana Premium Orange Juice is one of the top brand in orange juice which is manufactured in America. They have a strong market share and their priority is to serve the best quality of fresh orange juices made from the best oranges in town. Tropicana Premium Orange Juice is one of the subsidiary of Pepsi Company. After such a long time being under the same label and packaging, in February 2009 Tropicana Premium Orange Juice changed the old packaging to a whole new design which looks completely different. Peter Arnell, the CEO of Arnell company, which is a design company that designed the new packaging of Tropicana Premium Orange Juice gave an idea to refresh the packaging of the orange juice by eliminating the orange and the straw in the old design with a cup of orange juice. The idea of the change is to give customers the look of whats really inside the carton, not the orange but whats inside the orange which is fresh orange juices. They also changed the cap into a more round-shaped cap with texture of an orange, the idea of this change is to make the customers feel like squeezing the orange before they finally open the package and drink the orange juice. They are trying to make good first impression on the new design which looks more modern. Unfortunately, the messages that Arnell trying to send was not delivered very well. Most of the customers complained about the new packaging of Tropicana, they said that the new design was not really attractive to them. The removal of the big orange and straw removes the strong message of fresh and juicy. The loyal customers of Tropicana Premium Orange Juice complained about the new picture of a cup of orange juice that gives a different look and perception about how the orange

In terms of Product, Gatorade was the first sports drink ever, thus they created the sports drink market. The drink was developed in 1965 in response to problems within the University of Florida’s football team (History of Gatorade, Retrieved December 2, 2006). The players were not performing up to their full ability even if they wanted to. Their bodies just were not able to keep up. Thus, in the lab, Gatorade was created. The original flavoring was added to cover the taste of all the electrolytes and other nutrients that were in the drink (History of Gatorade, Retrieved December 2, 2006). Since then, Gatorade has grown into the leader of the sports drink market with 85% market share (Fuhrman, 23). Now, Gatorade comes in numerous different flavors allowing more selection, and drawing in more customers. There are many different Gatorade product lines such as Gatorade Rain, Fierce, Extreme, Endurance for hard core athletes who need the competitive edge and even a line of flavored water called Propel. The slogan on their website says “For every thirst, there is a flavor” indicating the amount of variety Gatorade now offers, even beyond what is mentioned here (www.gatorade.com). In terms of product they are doing extremely well and there is nothing that needs to change. Gatorade, though, is continually trying to improve their formula to give active bodies the replenishment needed when the…

In “The Plastic Pink Flamingo: A Natural History,” by Jennifer Price the adoration of pink flamingos in the fifties is shown through the amount of flamingo souvenirs purchased and the commensurate claim to boldness. Price in many ways demonstrates her pessimistic feeling toward our culture and the trends we undergo. Much figurative language is used such as “flocking” and “splashed.” Not only are those very particular words to choose they are also mocking words.…

"Oranges" begins with Gary Soto narrating one of his life experiences in this poem. He remembers a particular experience of walking side by side with a girl. There are two characters a twelve year old boy and his date. When the poem begins, the narrator is alone, and on his way to go pick up the girl. It was winter time and he only had two oranges with him, which his purpose was to share them with his date. The beginning of the poem is not very positive, though, but rather negative. In addition, he allows his focus wandering from the poem's main situation, his first experience with a girl, and instead makes a point of dwelling on the cold weather.…

In 2003 the FDA obesity working group said that we need to capitalize on consumer demand for healthier foods. This led to the on and off label of products that contain small amounts of fruits and vegetables, or contain refined carbohydrates. These products such as fruit drinks and Pop Tarts and, highly sugared cereals, are considered energy dense than nutrient dense. Which are not good for humans. When Children’s Advertising Review Unit stepped in also followed by customer complaints, they recommended that Kellogg change its packaging, by getting rid of the phrase “made with real fruit”. Kellogg agreed to that they still proceeded with its “future child-directed advertising”, meaning they wanted to sell their products. Kellogg’s previous decision has since been reversed and current boxes still say “made with real fruit”. This opened new ways for advertising to kids and adults.…

To avoid the risk of diluting or changing the meaning of the core brand (Tim Tam Biscuits) Arnott’s have maintained similar colours on their packaging to that of Tim Tam Biscuits. The use of warm brown tones and eclipses have been used to mimic the texture of chocolate. To the consumer, this creates a union between the traditional biscuit and the newly developed Tim Tam Balls. Traditional Tim Tam biscuits are currently Australia’s most popular biscuit selling over 35 Million packets per annum. So from a marketing perspective, Arnott’s have done this to leverage brand awareness.…

Jazz music has always existed as a voice for black musicians and audiences. The sounds and rhythms are extremely unique and colorful. It certainly changed America in the 1920's with the swing movement and it put jazz on the map. During this time many white people started to be influenced by this infectious music, and started to enjoy it. Many white people also discriminated against blacks and treated them as less than equal. A goal for an artist named Billie Holiday was to make America listen to the cries of a black man, a black man who was just lynched. Jazz music had to be recognized with its roots. Billie Holiday believed Jazz music had to defend the black people. No better way of being heard than through the voice of Holiday. She attempted to fight for black rights through her song “ strange fruit”, a political song that struck a chord for many Americans.…

This article discusses how the abnormal low/freezing temperatures that are affecting the Florida orange harvest can lead to price increase for drinkers. In December 2011, Florida was once again hit by abnormal freezing temperatures which in turn affected one-third of Florida’s early orange crop varieties, nearly half of the mid season crop and damaged about 13 percent of the late-season crop. These low temperature are severely impacting orange crop supply as the forecast reduced last month’s estimate by 3 million boxes to 140 million. It has also been fore-casted in this article that since the supply of oranges is being reduced, this would eventually force companies to increase juice prices. However it was also stated that this increase in price may cause a decrease in demand from consumers as they will seek cheaper juice alternatives.…
