Trapshooting Research Paper
In a galaxy far, far, far away, there was once a trapshooting team. A team brings a group of individual skills into one. The coming together of a team betters the individuals within the team. The team has a glorious impact on my perseverance. My trapshooting group is steadfast, supportive, and joyis. The team was steadfast because they were committed, and devoted to improving on not only the sport, but also on themselves. With each team member pushing each other to continue practicing. The team as a whole taught me to never give up, and that practice makes perfect. My coach had always told us to just take it one bird at a time when I was shooting. Crew relies heavily on teamwork and demands that all team members “buy in” to the concept of performing as one athlete. 2) As the leader of the group, coach Preczewski did not effectively incorporate the proper team building exercises or instill trust among teammates that is critical in a team environment. 3) A “star mentality” was evident among the members of the varsity team. Members of this group would routinely critique each other individually on the details of practice or a race. However, members of the junior varsity team did not criticize each another individually. If corrections were needed, they never singled out a crewmember, but made comments about the necessary adjustments needed to improve the effort of the team.…

Sports, as I mentioned before, they can help in many different ways. For example, work when you are working and you stumble upon a problem that you can’t fix by yourself. You ask for help which is teamwork and collaboration. Jim Thompson Jim Thompson exclaimed, ”All distractions from the big picture life lessons that can include teachable spirit, resilience, grit, self confidence, teamwork, determination and empathy.” Finally one of the biggest and most important thing there is, don’t be selfish because you will ruined the point of the game for you and your teammates and then the point of the game will be for nothing no teamwork, no leadership and no…

We definitely will be working on zone defense and rebounding, because during the game we really lacked those skills. The junior varsity played just as well even though they are the youngest team we’ve had for ten years. Coach pushes us to work hard every practice, and that’s what we all need in order to reach the next level and win our games.”…

As a freshman, I made the varsity volleyball team. With this position came a lot of responsibility and pressure. My teammates always looked at me as the “baby”, but they expected me to play at the same level as the seniors. I learned how to deal with difficult personalities and I learned how to commit myself to a team and a sport. I also learned that I was a role model to other teammates and young volleyball players. Just like the Pink Ranger, people looked up to me and I tried to lead by example throughout my volleyball career.…

When our arch rivals James River entered our home gym on the evening of our senior night ceremony and last regular season game, I broke out. The team was demoralized after getting down 2-0 - but with the leadership of our captain and the play of myself, we pulled off a comeback for the ages. After hitting the game winning shot, my teammates and I stormed center court where we celebrated our great achievement. I had the game of my life. The feeling of seeing my hard work pay off in front of everyone who had supported us throughout the season was surreal. Trying things unfamiliar to ourselves may sometimes be hard, but the formula never fails. I have learned almost every try something new, you leave having a positive time, or if nothing else, a new perspective to reflect on. I will continue to pursue things unfamiliar to me, and look forward to seeing all of the opportunities they come…

It was a valuable learning experience to play with people I had never met, to acquire skills of the game from college coaches and to play on a higher level. All of these basketball accomplishments eventually led to the day I decided that I wanted to play basketball for my high school team. I knew going into the tryouts that making the team was not going to be easy. I was confident that I had put many hours of practice time and effort into training for this very day, and I was prepared to give it my…
