TOEFL TPO 24
There is a hotly debated issue of that whether it is more important to work quickly and risk making mistakes than to work slowly and make sure that everything is correct, and the topic of people's view on the correlation between speed and accuracy can be approached from several different angles due to its complexity. Some people tend to prefer to work quickly, while others seem to prefer work cautiously. After deeply deliberating over this issue, I also develop my own point of view. I favor the latter position, that is, I think to work slowly and make sure that everything is correct is more important.
Admittedly, speed is a key aspect especially in today's severe competitive society. Therefore, in terms of this factor, with a high speed to accomplish works could save you a sum of time and money. Take insurance industry as an example. Traditionally, salesman will approach clients as much as they could. The concept is that the more they contact the more possibility they would make the deals. Hypothetically, it seems quantity account for the performance. However, there is no guaranty of orders even with myriad approached people.
On the other hand, people who work slowly and make sure that everything is correct may accomplish better work than former. In reality, you could gain much invisible advantages more than those who in high speed with many fault. The software developing industry could best illustrate this point. As the developers, the speed of developing software is critical for a company because they could acquire first-mover advantage. Nonetheless, putting a product with many bugs and frauds the customers will only bring a bad experience to frighten them away. Besides, producing slowly can take advantage from others’ failure experience, and make the product perfect. That is to say, superior quality with low speed far more significant than inferior quality with high speed.
To sum up, with the reasons above, I think work slowly and make sure that everything

Being sociologically mindful is more than just paying attention to and recognizing certain things in society, but it also means appreciating the things in society that make it unique. As Schwalbe states, sociological mindfulness can be a tough think to understand. Mindfulness is something that constitutes an awareness of the here and now. Three questions we should ask if we are being sociologically mindful of ideas are 1) What is the structure of the society as a whole? What are the big pieces and components to it, and how do they relate to each other? What makes it different from other societies? 2) Where does this society stand in human history? Is it changing, and if so what is causing it to change? We can look to see how it differs from other periods. Also, we can look to see the roots of why society has stood where on certain topics. In this sense, we can take a look at society’s history. 3) What types of leaders both male and female rule in society? Basically, who makes up the “dominating group”? If we look at these people and what makes them think one way or another, we can try to make some sense of how society in the present moment came to be. Also, it is important to see whom “elected” these people into dominating positions or how they got there, and why their ideas have stuck. Lastly, we must examine human nature and the role it plays in the decisions of leaders.…
