To start with, the most important way I think to become a better student is to do all the hard work first. Once you get home, your mind is still alert. If you do the easy homework first, you will forget how to do the hard homework. Subsequently, you can wrap up questions at the end of the chapter. By this, you can review about what you read, and you can understand more about what you read. Following, you must join in class discussion. Join, and you will get more knowledge about the subject being taught. Afterwards, you can do long term projects a little by little. You can get the project done faster than cramming it all into one night if you do this. Cram it all in one night and you will be tired out and will not be able to think correctly. Trust me, I’ve did it once. Next, you must have all materials in one place. This way, instead of walking to get what you need and getting distracted by the surroundings, you could just get what you need right in front of you. Do not be disorganized. I used to always do this and it wasn’t very good. One time, I got so distracted that at 10:30 pm, I realized that I still had homework. Just by little things, it is very easy to get distracted. Finally, you could use different print or sizes to indicate importance. Repeatedly, if the teacher says something and you think it is important, circle it, highlight it, or do anything that will help you remember that it is…

I have noticed during my time that I have spent studying lately that I have become pretty methodical. I have found in the essential guide to effective studying that I have a few habits that match my own. I know that I am, and always will be, a procrastinator. Yet I have always tried to study during my “best” time of day, which was always during the nocturnal hours for some reason. I have always been a night person, and I have actually incorporated that into my military career also by volunteering for the over-night positions, especially during deployments. I found that there are less likely to be distractions for me during that time, and I have a chance to work at my own pace. I have also figured out that I always try to do the most difficult tasks first. That way, I do not have to worry about them later.…

Some people never learn effective study habits in high school, and may struggle through their first semester of college. A student should figure out one’s most effective study habit; many people cannot create a quality essay at four in the morning with music playing and a television on. Although poor study habits may cause a student to struggle, he or she can become connected to the school by joining clubs, music groups, or sports that will help them make friends while balancing their life. This process into becoming well rounded will in turn make them happier students.…

Study skills are necessary in order to receive satisfactory grades in school. One way to improve study skills is by studying for a certain amount of time each day in order to ensure that the knowledge will be retained. For example, if one wanted to receive a commendable grade in their AP Psychology class, then they would take a certain amount of time each night to study the proper terms and main points for the section for which they are learning. Spacing out your studying proves to be more beneficial than studying the night before the test, as one has the opportunity to review class materials several times a week, focusing on one topic at a time. New information can be absorbed more easily when studying this way. It is evident that in order to improve study skills, one must allot time each night to study the information learned throughout the course of the school day.…

In this age where studying is a bothersome chore for most students, students struggle to cope with their busy routine as well as their studies. The fierce competition to excel among themselves or on a national level, further catapults the students’ search for the ultimate study plan. I believe that studying starts with ourselves and, with the appropriate ways, is more effective and self-rewarding than studying blindly.…
