The SWOT analysis
Milestone Two – SWOT Analysis
Strengths (What do I do well?) Weaknesses (Where can I make improvements?)
• I am a responsible person and I always finish my charges in time.
• I can work late hours because I am purposeful and ambitious.
• I can force myself to do my work even if the task is not interesting enough.
• I am a fast learner and that helps me to put new skills into practice. • I often avoid long lasting tasks because the most important for me is to achieve successful results.
• I have a short temper which causes lack of concentration sometimes.
• I do not like being needed everywhere: I get stressed when having a big charge and little time to do it.
• Sometimes I am subjected to procrastination.
Opportunities (What kinds of things could I be doing based on my strengths?) Threats (Where could I be using my strengths and talents more productively?)

• If our company’s expansion spreads over European countries, I could be selected for a job abroad.
• I could take on some of my colleagues’ projects to gain new experience. This will also help to keep the company going.
• One of my colleagues is going to leave our company soon. There is an excellent opportunity for me to apply for a new position and to broaden the sphere of my occupation.
• Our boss is very attentive to those who work a lot. Thus, I have bigger chances to be promoted than the others. • Because of my short temper, my boss sometimes makes comments to me. This is totally unacceptable if I want to get a promotion.
• When I delay the order execution, my colleagues take interesting projects I would love to be involved in.
• Getting a promotion means important duties and a lot of responsibilities. My “charge stress” can cause problems with the performance of duties.
• The level of competition in our company is rather high. Because of my unwillingness to perform long lasting tasks I could be replaced by someone else.
Reflection:
The most interesting for me was to find out how deep

I have chosen this objective because sometimes I feel overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do. My approach under these circumstances can be haphazard and I find it hard to remain focussed; I get sidetracked and therefore waste time. An important aspect of managing yourself is time management. Often at Ruth House I can start a task but am interrupted by staff and leave a task half completed for a while due to the nature of the job. Occasionally there is not enough time to complete a task. Sometimes I have the tendency to spend too long on sometimes. I am ensuring now that I set myself a time limit for an activity. As a manager it is important to set a good example.…

Let’s face it, people all over the world love beauty. Holy wood is obsessed with it. Like many women in America and all over the world, we want to look our best, we want to look and feel beautiful. Women and some men want the gift of youth and beauty and will go to great lengths to attain it. Do you keep your boss informed? How do you like to be caught off guard in a meeting or by your own boss? Your boss doesn't like it either. Make sure your boss has all the information he/she needs to know. Keep your boss up to date on what you are working on, any challenges you are dealing with, and the many accomplishments you are achieving. Often we believe the boss knows just how much work we are doing behind the scenes to make a deadline or to finish a project. We can make it look so easy, and while that's a good thing, making your boss aware of what is going on keeps him/her up to date and you valued for your…

To fully apply the knowledge of my strengths I need to break my barrier of procrastination and excuses in order to fully reach my potential. I am a deliberative person so making big decisions can take me longer than the average person, so it takes me a while to actually ever start anything because I deliberate for a long time. Think that in order to cut down on that time I’m going to start planning things out on paper and rationally look at the consequences of my possible actions and see what is the best way to proceed.…

When I did an assessment on my learning styles and what works best with for me to help me retain information, I discovered that I learned best by watching, then doing. This makes sense because it is the only way I have ever been shown how to do something. When I worked on helicopters in the Army, I spent a year of just looking over someone else’s shoulder, just watching with very repetitive information. And, that’s after I finished my schooling for it. But, it wasn’t until I actually did the maintenance work myself until I actually grasped the concept. I wouldn’t have completely understood why I fixed the things I fixed until I did. The shadowing work I did taught me the principles and methods so I would have a good foundation, and the hands on helped me to see for myself how the aircraft worked. I’ve tried many times to just be a hands on learner, but it ends up talking me twice as long to accomplish the task because, I was show first. Even simple directions don’t completely help me understand.…

Throughout my high school career I have had to learn work-ethic. I was a very involved student and I had a hard time saying no to someone who needed my help. This caused me to become the “go-to” person for quite a few people. I loved it though, at one point my “normal” was completing not only my own work, but doing that while helping others with theirs, and on top of that juggling two sports and two jobs. The feeling of collapsing into bed after a successfully exhausting day was unbeatable. I am blessed with natural organizational skills that make multi-tasking possible. I am able to make a list in my head of all of the various tasks that I have to have done before the day is complete. Some days I am so frustrated I just wanted to pull my hair out, but I knew that if I focused, I could complete it all. I will never place limits my…

NO SMOKING. SMOKING KILLS. We read this tag line almost everywhere whether it be offices, airplanes, restaurants, etc. what we don't do is that we skip pondering over this statement. What we don't realise is that by smoking, we don't just deteriorate our own health but also of the passive smokers- that is the people who inhale the cigarette smoke.…
