The relation between happiness and employee productivity
Employee happiness is different from employees satisfaction, although it seems to the receiver very close yet it isn’t, because happiness has more powerful effect on employees or human being in general , satisfaction is depending on what people receive as material things in terms of the total package , title , brand of the company and so on , when it comes to any change happen in these things then you will find the productivity of employee decreases accordingly .
Happiness is totally different because it is independent on any external factor or circumstances surrounding the employees, it comes from within, comes from the belief of the company or the job mission, in the stage of happiness people are self-motivated and inspired by the idea itself so they spend their time , self-resources to make things happen regardless any compensation .
Happy employee couldn’t receive satisfactory compensation and benefits , satisfactory work place or work environment , happy employee is just happy and productive because he/she loves what he/she do.
To clarify more the difference between employee happiness and satisfaction , we can say that the job satisfaction is a phrase from the past , as organizations seek to get their employees satisfied by fixed positions and suitable packages , now the world is moving very fast and its clear that the change is the only constant , while happiness at work is for the modern world who moves very fast and coping with the fast change is really the EDGE of any success .
This means that the organizations and employees have the responsibility to adapt with the very dynamic work environment and every day or even hour input.
This needs a new range of competencies needed for both employees

There are many different opinions about the relation between “happiness and work.” Some people think that when they are more successful in their job, they will be happier. So they try to work harder, impose order on their job, and try to achieve some goals to become happier as the opinion of Alain de Botton in his speech named “Finding meaning in the daily grind.” However, I am in the group of people who think that if I am happy, and having positive thinking, I can do my job better, more successful. I strongly agree with Shawn Achor’s opinion which shows in the video named “The happy secret to better work.”…

In an article written by Judge and Saari (2010), they state, “Happy employees are productive employees.” Employees have attitudes and viewpoints about every area of the jobs performed daily, careers, and about the company, they are employed by. The way employees feel or think affect job satisfaction and performance. Therefore, when employees evaluate work, they provoke thoughts and by thinking about work feelings become involved.…

The drop in absenteeism and increase in morale were due to the increased satisfaction of the workers with their jobs. They are not able to feel…

The employees are what push any company to develop and thrive. Without good employees, companies tend to go backward rather than forward. When employees are dedicated and involved in the company, profits and successes are generally higher. Conversely, when they become uninterested and unappreciated, the company surely suffers. This is why the majority of successful companies on the Fortune 500 list make it a priority to keep their employees as happy as possible. According to Dr. Donna LaMar and Betsy Laney, both world renown psychologists, “Happy employees miss work less, perform better, and are more supportive of changes and willing to make them happen.” Some good ways to keep employees happy are to be encouraging and thankful, create a productive and good working environment, and make sure that everyone is involved as a team. “Happy employees make the customers happy,” says Alexander Kjerulf, a self-proclaiming chief happiness officer, and consultant on happiness at work, as well as the author of ‘Happy Hour Is 9 to 5’. “Studies show very clearly that when employees like their jobs, customers get better service and are more satisfied” (O’Brien). If a company shows encouragement, appreciation, and a good working atmosphere, they will have happier, more creative, and efficient employees…

Job satisfaction is an engine that drives organizations to success and keeps turnover rate to a minimum. An article from Harvard Business Review states that “a decade of research proves that happiness raises nearly every business and educational outcome: raising sales by 37%, productivity by 31%, and accuracy on tasks by 19%, as well as a myriad of health and quality of life improvements” (2011, Archor). Additionally, the author Archor asks if there is anything that a company can do to affect employee happiness and should a company invest resources into happiness.…

In this presentation I explain how brining happiness to the forefront of goals in the workplace can actually increase productivity and in turn increase overall customer satisfaction and profits. I begin by defining happiness and what it generally involves to genuinely and deeply feel happy. It is more than just a split moment in time. It is a lifestyle and environment that we mainly control. Our managements philosophy is from "Albert Einstein “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. “Competence is the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. Our organizations success will be tied to being the top company not because of one person in particular but because the whole company. Being happy isn’t something that is evidently just given to someone it is a mindset that is usually followed after hard work and proper motivation.
