The Bohemian Club and Grove is a well known secret society founding in San Francisco in 1872.

Mummy in the Bohemian Club

One of the Bohemian Club priceless possessions is a mummy of an priestess of the ancient rites of Isis presented by Jeremiah Lynch Bohemian Club member, U.S senator, stockbroker, author, a world traveler and ongoing traveler to Egypt. Lynch gave the Bohemian Club the mummy of an Egyptian princess. That relic was destroyed in a big fire. Lynch while in Egypt secured the second mummy princess for the Bohemian Club.

The evil deity for the Bohemian club is the Owl, the ancient bird of wisdom. James Anthony Froude was a guest at the Bohemian Club dinner. He stated that Pallas Athene the Goddess of truth is formed in the shape of an Owl at the bottom staircase of the Bohemian beautiful stairways. The owl was Pallas Athene ( Minerva To the Romans) sacred bird. He also asked why does the Owl has one shut but for some reason they cannot or will not explain to him why.

Also there is a red room, lounging room, billiard room, and wine room finished in various shades of colors. The library in Elizabethan style is on the second floor, where the theater is located also. The third and fourth floors are devoted to members and guest rooms and are furnished in exquisite fashion all of which cost something over $325,000 in 1910.
