National Honor Society Legacy
Since its establishment, the National Honor Society has been built upon the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Throughout the years, National Honor Society has upheld these pillars, and its outstanding club members strive to embody these values in every aspect of their lives. However, these four principles add up to become something much more over the course of National Honor Society’s lifetime -- its legacy. These four honorable tenets are what constitutes a legacy, and I wish to become an individual who represents all of these core values -- and more. I genuinely believe that I exemplify most of the qualities that National Honor Society values, and though I am aware that I am still lacking in some, I will work …show more content…
Without proper guidance or counsel, a person cannot learn to develop the attributes of a leader. By extending the experience and advice from the past generation to the new generation, the members of the club can learn the mistakes of before and work hard to mend them and prevent them from ever being made again. With this concept, the members can then on avoid repeating the same errors that were already occurred in the past by learning from them and improving on the past miscalculations. Through leadership, one is directly making an impact on the society and the club itself; however, when the leadership has continued and been passed down for many generations to come, it becomes a legacy that further extends the impact in the society to the vast …show more content…
To be a member of any society or any club, there are a certain set of qualities one must possess in order to be accepted and succeed within the organization; if not, they must be willing to cultivate the expertises they are lacking so that they can become a well-rounded member that benefits the club in all its entirety. These same skills required to become a member of the club are the same skills that will represent the club throughout its continuation and eventually shift to become the legacy of the club that others will remember them by. The idea of legacy greatly depends on the characteristics of the club members and cabinets -- as well as the original creator. In order for the club to have a lasting reputation, it must be established by a founder that has all the valuable qualities to form a prideful legacy that shapes its future club
