The Increased Self-Actualization Of Northeastern
I hope to establish connections with renowned businesses in order to further my career and find a business that suits my skills.

One of my biggest worries is falling out of love with my major and having to rediscover myself. This could mean changing majors and starting all over again, delaying my graduation and potentially leaving me far behind everyone in the major in terms of knowledge.

In conclusion, what I’m hoping to take away from Northeastern is extensive knowledge and understanding of my field, satisfaction from knowing I’ve contributed to society, great friendships and most importantly, increased self actualization.

I was able to learn that I can. I can take high school and college classes together. I can manage a social life while at CSN. I can spend countless hours of doing homework and studying without freaking out. I had to have a new understanding of my self; I had to be an adult. The people at my college did not see me as a high school student many of them did not know I attended high school. I also learned about others and how to cooperate better with other individuals. I was able to see an array of different people, something I would not be aloud to experience at a normal high school. Through countless group projects, labs, and group oriented work I was able to out my self in other peoples shoes and see the situation from another perspective.…

Coming to Ohio Wesleyan gave me a chance to explore the world around me but most importantly explore myself. When teens graduate from high school, they have a strong sense of purpose and feel confident about themselves and what they believe in. But when they enter college life, that is adult life, they find their ideas being challenged by the people around them. I wanted to face this challenge, not that I thought of myself being right at all times but because I wanted to grow more both emotionally and intellectually by interacting with different people who have different opinions than my own.…

So far in extern I realized that my attitude towards the career I have chosen is positive because is all I’ve dreamed of becoming since I sort of had an idea on where I wanted to be. Maybe it wasn’t like the path I wanted to take right away, since my plan was going straight for RN, but I’m glad I took a different path because I learned so much in such a brief time. For instance, I made great friends along which made feel connected because they were trying to reach the same dream that I had, and I left the school knowing that I had a family that would do anything for each other. Also, I had a great instructor that cared for his students and believe in them that they would reach high standards even if the students didn’t believe they could of reach these goals. As well in extern, my office manager has help me out trying to break my shell by helping me out in blood draw and has showed me everything that had to do with billing and coding, insurances, telephone etiquette, able to use the system, etc. With my office manager I would have been lost in the office not knowing what to expect.…

It would be dishonest to say that Northeastern University was number one on my list from the beginning of the college process. Despite its prestigious reputation, Northeastern has one particular factor that I use to be strongly against, an open campus. Although I dream of being in a major city, an open campus just seemed too daring and intimidating for me. However, upon visiting the campus and going on a tour with my mother this past summer my mind was quickly changed.…

Every time I was asked the question “where did you graduate from?” and I would respond that I earned my degree from X College. And they say wow that is a wonderful and well reputed college. It gives me such an enormous feeling inside me when I hear that. Fortunately, I had the greatest moment and the best experience when I was undergraduate student. Luckily, the schedule of their evening courses accommodated my busy schedule perfectly in a way that I was working full time running my business during the day and taking most of my classes at night. That is one of four major factors that I took into consideration that made me think that X School is the one that will help me attain my goals.…

I felt that tending to others needs was more important now then ever before. The opportunities I would have ordinarily ignored I pursued, now motivated by my understanding. I’ve devoted time to making casseroles for homeless shelters. When I pass by the poor box after church I slip a few dollars in. I motivated my family to go and shop for disadvantaged children during Christmas time, understanding that their families cannot provide for them in that way. I’ve also volunteered in soup kitchens during the holidays to feed the hungry. Because of my increased understanding, I’ve made helping others an important part of my life. So now when I drive through Baltimore feelings of sadness still accompany me, but I feel better knowing that I am continuing to improve the lives of people who need it the most. I want to continue to experience events, to see the world and going to Towson is a great opportunity to do so. I look forward to enhancing the values of the Towson University through continuous civic engagement and relationships with community members. I know that Towson’s commitment towards exploration and enrichment will help me to better the university and…

There are two things in my life that I feel passion for, art and numbers. When I started at Miami Dade College, I always thought that I would study Architecture because even though I loved numbers, I was more inclined to the arts. I wanted to create models and design buildings because it seemed very interesting and it was a way to develop my creative side. So I began to study architecture and I must admit it is a beautiful major. However, a part of me thought that it was not really what I wanted to do. I realized that I was not creative enough and little by little, I started to feel discouraged. At that point, I was convinced that I was going to do better if I majored in anything related to numbers. Anyway, I can develop any artistic interest as a hobby.…
