Statement Of Purpose For A Career As A Radiology Technician
So far in extern I realized that my attitude towards the career I have chosen is positive because is all I’ve dreamed of becoming since I sort of had an idea on where I wanted to be. Maybe it wasn’t like the path I wanted to take right away, since my plan was going straight for RN, but I’m glad I took a different path because I learned so much in such a brief time. For instance, I made great friends along which made feel connected because they were trying to reach the same dream that I had, and I left the school knowing that I had a family that would do anything for each other. Also, I had a great instructor that cared for his students and believe in them that they would reach high standards even if the students didn’t believe they could of reach these goals. As well in extern, my office manager has help me out trying to break my shell by helping me out in blood draw and has showed me everything that had to do with billing and coding, insurances, telephone etiquette, able to use the system, etc. With my office manager I would have been lost in the office not knowing what to expect. …show more content…
I chose to go for the Radiology Technician because I figured out that I want to be surrounded by technology since that my biggest passion in the field. I would love to learn more of how to use equipment since I was determined that I’m better at the technical things such as EKG/ECG, and maybe going towards that path would help me appreciate more the field that I had a passion for since day one. At the end of the day I’m always going to be happy that things went another way because I learned so many things that helped me shape the person that I am now and I would forever be grateful for those who have helped along the way and never doubted me even if I never thought I would go far as I am right

Waking up in the middle of the night coughing and gasping for air occurred on a regular basis for me as a child. I slept with an inhaler and a nebulizer next to my bed in the event of the next attack. My asthma attacks were frightening for my parents and especially for me as I felt as if I was on the verge of death whenever I suddenly could not breathe. Although I was always in and out of emergency rooms and doctor visits at a young age, having tried everything from nebulizer treatments to bronchodilators, I was always comforted by the doctors and nurses who always took the time to explain and alleviate any concerns and anxiety I had. Seeing their devotion to their profession and for patient care has motivated me to pursue graduate study in the field of nursing to invest my future to coordinate and implement quality healthcare for others.…

As a child growing up, I have seen aunts; uncles and cousin pursue a career in the medical field. So as I got older I wanted a career in the medical field too, but as a registered nurse (RN). I love watching TV shows on people who was there to help others in the time of sickness or an emergency and I can see myself doing that because I like to help others. I even started a local community college and took classes towards the nursing program; I got pregnant and did not go back to college. Until now, choosing a career in the medical billing and coding showed me that it is less school, can earn a certificate or associates degree, how much a person can earn for a living through a year, how you can work in a building or work from the comfort of your home.…
