The Importance Of The Reconstruction Era
The Reconstruction Era that occurred from 1865 to 1877 is known to be of great importance; a time period that means so much to many. Though this era may be known today as tragic and a failure I don’t quite agree. I believe the good outcomes of the era overcome those that are bad. In my opinion this era helped many; this era created hope and bravery. The hope that built in the minds of colored men and women will help them in the years that follow after the reconstruction. This Era has numerous of successes; laws, education, freedom, and hope all were positive outcomes brought about during this era. (American History). Schools, churches, transportation, and public accommodation rights were granted to blacks. Yet more important of all consolidation
