Barcode technology is a natural fit for automating Time and Attendance tracking. Barcode scanners offer a quick and accurate way for each Part-time instructor to complete time-tracking transactions within Time and Attendance software. Time and Attendance software gives managers the ability to view Part-time instructor’s attendance, performance and efficiency data. In the Information Technology Department, attendance must be monitored in order to protect the files or properties of the part time ITE Instructors inside the Dean’s office. Manual time and attendance accuracy suffers because Part-Time ITE Instructor often sees the task as laborious. They will put it off as long as possible and then do it hurriedly- leading to mistakes and inaccuracies
In the Information Technology Department of Dalubhasaan ng Lunsod ng San Pablo, attendance must be monitored in order to protect the files or properties of the part time instructors inside the Dean’s office. Manual time and attendance accuracy suffers because Part-time instructor often sees the task as laborious. They will put it off as long as possible and then do it hurriedly - leading to mistakes and inaccuracies. Automating the process and allowing labor transaction data to be input from multiple devices reduces the time spent on the process and makes it much simpler to input the transactions accurately. Attendance Monitoring System not only reduces the time required to complete payroll tasks, It will help eliminate fraud records and store paper requirements. Because Attendance Monitoring System improves efficiency based on eliminating manual time logging and auditing operations. So the developers constructed/programmed a system that will help monitor the attendance of part time teachers entering and going out of the campus. Attendance Monitoring System builds on and adds to current time logging processes. Time clocks are replaced with automated barcode readers, allowing the Part-time instructors to perform the function of "clocking in" in a way very similar than they did before. The difference is that the data is digitized and stored on a computer - eliminating the need for paper time cards. With a Barcode Time and Attendance Tracking system, Part-time instructors can quickly and accurately enter labor transaction detail data - what they're working on and for how long. This detailed data allows you to see exactly how labor resources are expanded.
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Most companies assign numbers to employees. Some companies issue employee badges for identification purposes. To enter labor transactions using barcode scanners, the employee number must be bar coded. There are technical requirements about the placement of the barcode on the ID card for fixed barcode readers that replace time clocks. Automated time and attendance systems can use electronic tags barcode badges, cards, biometrics (hand, fingerprint, or facial), and touch screens in place of paper cards which employees touch or swipe to identify themselves and record their working hours as they enter or leave the work area. The recorded information is then ideally automatically transferred to a computer for processing although some systems require an operator to physically transfer data from the clocking point to the computer using a portable memory device. The computer may then be employed to perform all the necessary calculations to generate employee timesheets which are used to calculate the...
