Human Relations are concerned with most life situations in a way that many people may not discern. The Blind Side is a heartwarming movie that deals with these situations in more ways than one. Throughout the movie we see issues involving classism and racism. The Blind Side demonstrates proper treatment and respect for others; no matter what color their skin is or where they come from. The movie reveals a clear statement that every individual should have equal opportunity to become something in life. Throughout The Blind Side, the audience sees the main character, Michael, transform from a poor boy who does not have anything going for him, to an amazing athlete and top Division 1 college recruit. Michael has a heart of gold, and this family sees the genuine soul in him and wants the best for him. This is a family that believes in giving 100 percent, no matter what the circumstances are. They are willing to sacrifice respect of others in order to give Michael the opportunity to become prosperous and reach his full potential. The Tuohy family is white and a part of the mid/upper class. When this family sees Michael walking by himself late at night, their compassionate hearts move them to offer him a place to stay for the night. At first Michael denies the offer; eventually he decides to go with the Tuohys, and this is when his life would change forever. Michael displays great manners and respect from the beginning, but he does not know exactly how to react to how nice the family is being to him. The family is willing to go the extra mile for Michael, so that he will have the opportunity to live up to his full potential and to make something of himself to prove people wrong. The Tuohy family sees something in Michael, and they were not afraid to help him reach his potential. This family falls in love with Michael, and decides to legally adopt him; ignoring and disregarding the whispers and grotesque accusations from their peers of them taking Michael in as a charitable act and not out of love. Because of this selfless loving family, Michael is able to live out his dreams and get out of his less fortunate life.
