S.W.O.T Analysis

The S.W.O.T Analysis outlines the key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that I face at the moment. Hopefully at the end of the year I will be able to look back on these and think of how I have improved.

Strengths

1. Detailed drawing 2. computer programmes 3. Willingness to learn 4. Passion for designing 5. Ideas 6. Using Sketchbooks 7. Reflecting on Ideas Weaknesses 1. presentations 2. photography 3. History of Graphic Design 4. Proper Development 5. Explaining Designs
Opportunities
1. Degree 2. Live Projects 3. Student Life
Threats
1. Other students 2. Confidence dropping 3. Over-Competitness
My strengths all seem to come from learning through my Diploma level of Btec Graphic Design. Studying Fine Art and Graphics has allowed me to generate and develop ideas through sketchbooks. In these subjects I have used photography and photoshop to an beginner/intermediate standard, I also invested in a 13" MacBook Pro by Apple which I love. It helps me generate art pieces that has received a lot of compliments.
In Graphics, I have had to reflect on ideas so that I could meet the mark scheme.
I think my passion for learning comes from my attitude in high School, I was brought up in a positive environment with lots of encouragement that helped me a lot with school. I may not have had the best grades, but I have always had an enthusiasm to learn and especially for art.

When I come up with an idea I don't really see any ways of improving them. This needs to change during the year, I need to learn to develop properly otherwise my ideas are not going to be fully realized.

In the next 3 years I am going to have a lot of opportunities, mostly set by the university and others I have to set up myself. Live projects are going to give me a good idea about how to deal with clients and what their feedback is going to be like.
Student life is going to help me socially, might make me a bit

However, my overall favorite, and in my opinion my most successful work is my spill drawing. Throughout the process of creating my piece, I focused on the realistic properties of my piece as well as the overall effect of the piece as a whole. While drawing, I paid attention to all the details. I kept a picture of a real eye close by, which I referenced multiple times and was therefore able to create a more realistic looking piece. In order to create a realistic looking piece, I had to focus on many different techniques while drawing. By using a picture as a reference, I was able to better recreate the values and details, and therefore creating a realistic drawing. For example, I paid close attention to the value and shading around the eye itself. Along with paying attention to value and details, my technique also significantly impacted how I went about drawing. For me, as well as most artists, the use of blank space is just as important as the penciled in part. For instance, I erased part of the iris of the eye in order to create a reflection, which in turn made it look more realistic. Overall, my spill drawing is my favorite and most successful work that I have created over this past semester. By focusing on value, shading, and precise details I was able to create a realistic drawing that I am proud to call my…

Throughout the course of my junior year, I have been challenged to be the best artist of my ability. As a graphic designer, I have learned to view things in a different light and learned to express my creativity. Although I am still learning new things everyday about how to become a better artist, I have improved tremendously in every way ranging from the thought process all the way to finalizing each project, and I think that as the days go by I will continue to do well in my high school graphic design career, but in continuing my education in this major and working in a field closely related to it. I have produced at least 5 projects that reflect my passion for graphic design including the New York World’s Fair, currency recreation, and the handmade film poster from the first semester of my junior year and from the second half up until my most recent project, a book jacket, and an organic drink package design.…

In my quest for passion, I often bite off more than I can chew. I want to create, whether it be photographs, art, or music. The problem is, I never stick to one hobby long enough to master any set of skills. I'll be honest, the coding class I recently took threw another wrench in my quest. I enjoyed that class so much it made me rethink my career path and my degree plan. I have recorded multiple songs, finished dozens of art pieces, and taken thousands of photographs in the past ten years.…

Although ADP (Automatic Data Processing) is one of the leading providers of business outsourcing solutions, it has weaknesses that negatively affect the company. One significant aspect of ADP is that the company has clients in many foreign countries, but less than only 20% of ADP’s revenues come from other regions of the world. The company has been majorly focusing on customers’ needs here in the US, keeping their clients up to date with the current laws and regulations (their HR department) and making payroll processing convenient. What they lack, though, is a diversified geographic. It’s important to concentrate on the US operations, but other countries have specific issues that may need to be handled differently. The final stage in the creative process, according to Ruggiero is to generate ideas – not just one, but many ideas to approach the subject. He suggests not limiting ourselves to the familiar or safe ideas, but to think outside the box no matter how silly an idea might seem at the time. Then decide which one seems to be the best approach based on your situation. (Ruggiero, 2009).…

There are four stages in the Creative Process. “The creative process has four stages which are searching for challenges, expressing the particular problem or issue, investing the problem, and producing a variety of ideas” according to Ruggieero, (2009). The first stage of the creative process is searching for challenges. This stage of the process a person should become accustomed to the habit of constantly searching for a challenge. It is important to note that a person can be creative in response to challenges that he or she perceives. The second stage in the creative process is expressing the problem or issue. The objective of this process is to discover the best expression of the problem that will provide the most helpful ideas. A common mistake made in this stage of the process is seeing the problem from only one perspective and therefore closing oneself off to other points of view. The third stage in the creative thinking process is investigating the problem or issue. This can be done by searching experiences and observing them for information pertinent to the problem at hand. The fourth stage of the process is producing ideas. “The objective of this stage is to produce enough ideas to decide what action to take or what belief to embrace (Ruggiero, 2009). Once a person has found enough ideas, the next step is to decide which idea seems to be the best in finding a solution for the problem.…
