Family and Essay Holiday Vacation
Essay – Holiday vacation

It was last summer, where I and my family spend our time in Kosovo.
It was last summer, when my family and I spent our time in Kosovo.
It was a long time since we've there last, so we were all excited. We were happy to see our family and they welcomed us with open arms. We had planned to stay in my uncle's house during our vacation. Because we hadn't seen each other for a long time, so we had a lot of things to talk about. I was starting to learn the other kids from the neighbourhood, they were really nice, and I like to spend time with them. My cousin is the same age as my little brother, and he is really annoying! He has no respect for me, even though I am older than him. We don't have that special friendship you normally have with your cousins. I didn't think so much about it because I have a big family, so I spend my time with them instead.
I actually had a nice time there. There were many outdoors swimming pools, and palms everywhere. It was so beautiful in Kosovo you couldn't imagine how it was; it was blazing to be there. I saw wonderful girls everywhere, and it couldn't be better for me. The sun shone it was perfect. Sunbathing was excellent. Shopping was perfect there, it was cheap and you could haggle about the price, it was interesting why in Denmark you cannot do that. The Albanians in Kosovo they don’t have the same conditions that we have in Denmark, they earn just enough to feed their families. They cannot just go and buy clothes or furniture like we can in Denmark; they have to save money for many years if they want to buy something.

I also saw lot of gypsies there, they begged where they could, they had often their child with them, so they could get more money, because when you see a child, you got pity with the child, then you feel that you have to give them a euro or more, it depends how much money you have with you.
One of the best things was that I spoke my native language there and it was great, because

The phrase to “set himself free” is used a lot throughout a bridge to Wiseman’s cove, whether it is to do with family issues or just common everyday tasks. Carl is constantly trying to let himself free and sometimes succeeds but other times doesn’t. Some examples are that if he’ll see his mother or every stop looking after his little brother Harley. Throughout “A bridge Wisemans cove” he goes through a mental journey facing evil family member (usually Beryl) and friends.…

The best trip I have ever went on was when my family and I went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. My aunt was getting married and my mom’s side of the family was invited to come. We got to go on this vacation last February. We left very early one morning and we went to the airport. It was very cold and the air was very dry. We got to the airport in Sioux Falls and we went through security and waited to get on the plane. Once we finally got on the plane I was very excited to get there. We had a connection in Minneapolis and we had a direct flight from Minneapolis all the way to Punta Cana. Once we finally got to Punta Cana, we were getting off the plane and I could feel the humid, warm air. We had to wait in a very long line to go through customs. After that, we got on a taxi that took us to our resort. The roads in the Dominican Republic are not much different from the roads in the U.S. They still had stop lights, billboards, and the same traffic rules. One big difference we saw on the way to the…

My Thanksgiving break was pretty good. On Thanksgiving, I went to Indiana to my cousins' house. It was a two-hour drive, so it wasn't that long. All of my cousins are older than me- literally, all of my cousins even from I don't know where. The only people younger than me are my siblings so I'm not the youngest of ALL the people. Anyways, we had eaten all of the thanksgiving things you can possibly eat. I loved thanksgiving this year and I can't wait next year.…

My mother resides in New Mexico and we live in Las Vegas, so the demand for togetherness was of a longing feeling. One could say even mutual. When all the plans went thru we were on our way to Las Cruces,N.M. We were initially going to pick up my baby daughter. She had been with my mother for a few months and daddy was missing her.
