Summary: The Marrow Thieves
The Marrow Thieves Theme Analysis People staying connected to community and culture is important when there is an attempt to be torn from it. The Marrow Thieves, being a perfect prime example of this, though some of it is hidden in symbolism & imagery, it’s still there. A good example of symbolism and imagery is Frenchie’s braids that make him feel like “a real Indian,” which would be a part of his culture. Meanwhile, a good example of imagery would be the stories Miigwans tells the rest of the group. To get deeper into understanding the symbolism, Minerva’s jingles are a symbol of hope.
