Jack is in second grade and is having a hard time behaving in school. Such as not paying attention and disrupting the class. Those two factors seem to play into integrated biopsychosocial. Biopsychosocial has three different elements to it: biological, psychological, and social-cultural. These three things can provide three different ways and reasons of why Jack is acting the way he is in class. An example of biological would be ADHD or ADD, which could be helped by a doctor prescribing him a medication. Psychological could have a lot to do with his acting out in class. He probably has the feeling he needs to fit in and find his group of friends. Psychological problems could be helped in many ways, but one that would really help Jack is possibly seeing a school Counselor. Last but not least, that deals with Jacks behavior is the social culture. This could also have something to do with his friends. A child’s social development is gained through positive interaction with adults and other children. A child who has the interested attention of an adult through their early years, who listens and encourages them, will grow to be confident and understand how conversation works and as such develop good listening skills in return. If a child lacks this adult or even other child interaction, they may then lack the confidence to speak up and interact with others; this lack of confidence then may affect how they relate to other children either in games, role play or at school. Children, who lack confidence, may have a low sense of self worth, feeling that they can’t or are unable to speak out and therefore be able to join in. Not being able to speak out or join in can have a big impact on their ability to communicate and learn.…

Kenneth did not come to the program with a fancy school uniform like john, he wore regular clothes and had a few stains on his shirt. He was not as high energy as john yet still had a social circle of students he hung out with. Kenneth is also 5 years old but seemed kind of withdrawn from the environment. When I visited the first time Kenneth was the first student I paid attention to because he seemed kind of odd out of the group. Coming to find out Kenneth has and older sister that attends the Y also and is 3 years older than him. He is in a different class than his sister In not sure why. His sister is pretty active and runs and plays with things around the center but is very much involved in group activities she has 2 friends of which she spends the most time with. Snack time he sits with kids of his age group and doesn’t speak to often. During physical activity of music time Kenneth joins the choreography but he isn’t overjoyed or making rambunctious movements that disrupt anyone else he tended to stay to the side of the room and tries to create as title attention as…
