Student Financial Aid Essay
Student financial aid is important for a student like me to have. My parents work hard to earn enough money to be able to support me through college. However, it can be hard with the amount college pays. Getting some money in financial aid will help my parents and myself out. I believe I have the personality traits to earn financial aid. I’m allocentric, responsible, and reliable. I use all three of these traits in my daily life. This year i’ve really had to learn how to be allocentric. I went from being a shift manager to almost running the place in three months. I shared responsibilities with another co-worker and had to balance work with other things going on in my life. I had to learn how to put work and customers needs over my own needs and wants. I had to not only balance a new position at …show more content…
I’m responsible in making sure I make it to work and volleyball practice on time. I’ve never missed a volleyball game or not shown up to work. I try to always have everything prepared for the volleyball team. I make sure to meet all the deadlines I need at work. I do my job and make sure it’s done well. Being responsible shows people that i’m mature and reliable.
Being reliable is another important trait to have. I have always made sure I could be reliable and trustworthy. I reassure others that they can rely on me to get my job done at work. When I say i’m going to do something with work or my friends, I don’t back out of it. I own up to my mistakes and admit when i’m wrong. You can always rely on me to tell the truth and be honest (I don’t have any reason to lie).
Having these specific traits and qualities will carry on to college. It’s important to me to be responsible so people will always know I can do tasks well, being allocentric shows others that I care about what they have to say, and being reliable shows people they will never have to know if they can trust me or

That statement basically means, no matter where you come from, you have to be willing to put your best foot forward in order to succeed. I can relate to that statement very well because I was born outside of the United States. I understood the struggles that I would have to face while growing up because many doors that are open to everyone else are restricted from me just because I am not a citizen. I have made various contributions and put in a lot of hard work these past 20 years of living here. Even with DACA, I am still unable to apply for Federal Aid but that does not hold me back from reaching a higher education. Better studying habits coupled with plenty of rest will help the student excel in school and retain more information. Dependability, others might say is a quality of being a reliable person to others when they are in a time of need. For example, my brother has had countless times where he just can’t get that darned lid of the peanut-butter jar. Luckily for him, I had been a reliable resource and twisted the lid off for him. Like I have helped my brother in the past, my parents have used me as a reliable “helper” in the family. Even though I am occasionally a reliable person when it comes to chores there are always times when my parents think lesser than me when it comes to household jobs. Overall, I think that being reliable in certain situations is an important feature to anyone’s personality, so that they can learn to potentially help others.…
