Starbucks Research Paper
lilopie.deviantart.com lilopie.deviantart.com Pissing off your Starbucks barista is never a good idea. These seven completely absurd Starbucks orders have been called the most obnoxious drink orders ever - and people have actually ordered them! We would never recommend ordering these drinks at your local Starbucks (unless you have a bone to pick with someone), but they're amusing to look at nonetheless. Check them out for yourself below!

Number Seven: Decaf Soy Latte With an Extra Shot And Cream

A decaf latte is non-sensical enough as it is, but cream in a soy latte? Just stick with dairy products if you're going to pull that stunt.

Number Six: Venti Iced Skinny Hazelnut Macchiato, Extra Shot, Light Ice

A proper macchiato is just a shot of espresso with foam, so an iced macchiato is not a real drink that exists. Nonetheless, Starbucks' macchiatos are one of their most popular drinks, but this order is a real doozy.

We recommend this person dump their drink on their head before actually drinking an upside down caramel macchiato.

Number Four: Iced Half Caff Venti Ristretto Cinnamon Dolce Soy Skinny Latte, Four Pumps

A ristretto shot of espresso uses the same amount of coffee in a regular shot but with half the amount of water. Adding all of that extra syrup and milk completely defeats the purpose of ordering a ristretto shot, so this just makes more work for those poor baristas.

Number Three: Venti Skinny Caramel Macchiato, Extra Shot, Extra Hot, Extra Whip

Not a single aspect of this drink has been untouched by the person who ordered it. "Extra" might be their personal norm, but in reality, that's just extra annoying. Plus, why order a "skinny" drink if you're just going to get extra whipped cream?

Number Two: Grande Skim Chai Tea Latte, Three Pumps, Lite Water, No Foam, Extra

If someone claims they are a coffee drinker and go to Starbucks every morning, chances are they do not know much about coffee and they are more likely to get an espresso drink rather than a cup of coffee. Why? Because Starbucks is not known or praised for their coffee like they use to be. Their signature trademark is their latte macchiato’s, caramel frappucino’s, and random coffee themed objects and items that have turned this once original coffee shop, more into an expensive superstore full of gifts and three month old vacuumed sealed beans. Order a medium, excuse me, I mean “grande” coffee, and the barista will look at you as if you just got out of the loony bin. Peet’s Coffee and Tea, a corporate coffee shop just like Starbucks but nearly not as huge, has constantly and is still constantly putting its focus and efforts in selling high-quality coffee beans and teas to its customers, rather than focusing on the sales of espresso drinks and useless gifts to people who can even afford them. Quality is over quantity when comes between Peet’s Coffee and Tea, and Starbucks Coffee is rather the other way around.…

Genuinely the cheapest coffee I have seen in this city, I purchased a caramel macchiato for $3 and a bacon and cheddar croissant for only $3.50. In the picture added, you can see that not only is this macchiato brewed and designed with steamed milk and espresso, but it is much smaller than the commercialized coffee sizes. I immediately felt…

My observation was at Starbucks in Arizona. I enjoyed going to Starbucks each morning to get away from the heat waves. Sadly, I observed many people, young and old that no longer interact or communicate verbally with each other, but prefer to use electronics. At Starbucks, I sat beside a very nice young lady for over 15 minutes before she realized I was sitting next to her. She was so engrossed in her texting and her other electronics devices that she was no longer aware of the people or things that were around her.…

The government has taken action due to this situation. The manufacturers are coming up with the idea of producing the beverages with less sugar in them. The unhealthy types of drinks have artificial sweeteners in them such as, Sucralose, Aspartame, or Stevia. Another solution that is being put out there, is to reduce the size of the bottle.
