Spirit of Unity
1. The travel and tourism industry is vast and varied. There are many different sectors providing services to all kinds of customers. But how do you get into a good job in the industry? By 'good', we mean a job or career that provides personal satisfaction and growth as well as sufficient income to live your life. 2. ECOTOURISM : Ecotourism is defined as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people." Travel can be much more than simply visiting places, taking pictures and buying souvenirs.
Ecotourism is about uniting conservation, communities, and sustainable travel. This means that those who implement and participate in ecotourism activities should follow the following ecotourism principles: * Minimize impact. * Build environmental and cultural awareness and respect. * Provide positive experiences for both visitors and hosts. * Provide direct financial benefits for conservation. * Provide financial benefits and empowerment for local people.
Raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social climate.
Generally, ecotourism focuses on socially responsible travel, personal growth, and environmental sustainability. Ecotourism typically involves travel to destinations where flora, fauna, and cultural heritage are the primary attractions. Ecotourism is intended to offer tourists insight into the impact of human beings on the environment, and to foster a greater appreciation of our natural habitats. Saving the environment around you and preserving the natural luxuries and forest life, that's what eco-tourism is all about. Whether it's about a nature camp or organizing trekking trips towards the unspoilt and inaccessible regions, one should always keep in mind not to create any mishap or disturbance in the life cycle of nature.
Whether called nature tourism or ecotourism, recreational and educational travel based on natural attractions is a promising means of advancing social, economic, and environmental objectives in developing countries. It offers countries new opportunities for small-enterprise investment and employment and increases the national stake in protecting their biological resources. However, making ecotourism a positive economic and environmental tool requires policies that foster responsible nature tourism development, broad-based and active local participation in its benefits, and conservation of developing countries' biological heritage. Some of the most amazing places on Earth are also the most threatened. Our modern wonders, and their unique and irreplaceable wildlife, are in jeopardy. And while common knowledge may suggest we stay far away from these landscapes and seascapes to protect them, we also must know that you can help save the world’s most precious places by visiting them in a responsible manner.
Eco-tourism is more than a catch phrase for nature loving travel and recreation. Eco-tourism is consecrated for preserving and sustaining the diversity of the world's natural and cultural environments. A walk through the rainforest is not eco-tourism unless that particular walk somehow benefits that environment and the people who live there. So, lets try to protect our ecology rather than destroying it.

Ecotourism has started growing in popularity as criticism has arisen over ordinary mass tourism. Mass tourists exploit tourist destinations in such a way that can cause environmental degradation. Ecotourism attempts to make tourism sustainable – that is, it encourages preservation of environmental quality and of traditional cultures, it educates tourists and it enables the local people to participate in certain services offered to the eco-tourists. As ecotourism extends towards increasingly exotic tourist locations, such as Antarctica, sustainability becomes all the more important. Thus ecotourism does have its advantages towards the environment. However, conflict can arise between different interest groups concerning debatable issues in ecotourism – as opposing groups (such as environmentalists and scientists) have different interests as to how to go about with an extremely exotic area such as Antarctica.…

Sustainable Tourism is essentially an industry committed to making a low impact on the natural environment and local culture, while helping to generate income and employment for local people. As Global economists forecast continuing international tourism growth, this continuous growth will place great stress on remaining biologically diverse habitats and indigenous cultures, which are often used to support mass tourism. Therefore it is important that sustainable tourism is promoted and that people are educated about the opportunities provided in order to minimize the effects that tourism poses on the natural environment while helping to benefit local communities.…

Sometimes ecotourism will be merely a form within tourism marketing, which means natural resource using instead of protection. And stakeholder involvement is not always implemented. To improve sustainability of tourism development, it is necessary to combine diversified strategies to guarantee the environmental protection along the whole process of ecotourism. Besides professional stakeholder involvement, the coordination among different stakeholders is also necessary to guarantee their different interests along protecting other stakeholders’ interest at the same time.…
