Sonja Henie was a Norwegian figure skater, and also had a career as a film star.
She was born in Kristiania (Now Oslo) , Norway on April 8th 1912. She grew up wealthy with a parent who was a successful furrier. She got into ballet but found her true passion when she was 6 and that was figure skating. When sonja was only 11 years old she debuted as an olympic figure skater at the first winter games in 1924. She had gotten into skating simply by the process of trying new things. She first started out with ballet but soon realized that wasn’t her thing. She tried figure skating and fell in love.     Sara Teasdale is an American lyrical poet born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1884. Throughout her childhood and adulthood, she suffered from many illnesses.
